Weapon Mountings

Name Effect
Fixed Weapon This weapon is built immovably into the hull of the vehicle. It fires strictly in a straight line ahead.
Hull Weapon Hull Weapons are like fixed weapons, but have a degree of movement. Hull Weapons have a 45 degree angle of fire from their facing. (Thus a front-mounted Hull weapon would be able to hit everything in the arc to the front of it)
Turret Weapon This weapon is built into a fortified rotating turret, allowing it to fire at a 360 degree angle. Rotating a turret requires a half action to turn a full 180 degrees. Furthermore, turrets are heavily reinforced; hits against the Turret weapon always compare its damage against the frontal Weapon AP of a vehicle, regardless of the direction of the hit.
Pintle Weapon Pintle Weapons are (usually) light weapons mounted onto turret rings or the like. Pintle weapons often have a 360 degree angle, and can sometimes fire in both firing planes as well, but in many cases, anyone using a pintle is treated as though they were in an Open Topped vehicle and can be targeted by attacks.
Sponson Weapon Sponson weapons can fire in a 180 degree angle of fire from their facing. (Thus a front-mounted Sponson weapon would be able to fire directly ahead as well as directly left and directly right, but it would not be able to fire to its left-rear). All Walkers treat their weapons as Sponsons to represent their ability to turn their torsos or arms independently of the rest of their body.
Slaved (X) Weapon This weapon is designed so that it may be fired at the same time as another weapon, but using the same inputs. Whenever Weapon (X) is fired, this weapon may be fired as well as part of the same action.
Twin-Linked (X) Weapon This weapon mounting is specially designed to fit two of the same weapon together. Any weapon slotted into this Mounting gains the Twin-Linked quality.
