Warlord Infiltration

Warlord Infiltration

The N2 Strike in Brazil obviously became a massive priority for the Brazilian government. The task on determining the cause and the culprits was given over to the FCB. Although as a terrorist attack this was technically outside of the FCB's jurisdiction, the high quality of technology and resources meant that not using FCB would be a waste. Furthermore, the destructiveness of an N2 Weapon meant that an Eva was the only viable strategic defense against them, meaning the FCB may be used anyway in case of a further, more audacious attack.

Although no clear perpetrators emerged, a number of suspects emerged, defined primarily by capability and motive. This included the UN, UEF and Colombia, with the caveat that whoever executed this act would have access to powerful, precise AT Field abilities.

One of the avenues of investigation which emerged was a warlord named Konstantina. Unlike most warlords, Konstantina was an iron Guard Paladin- a very powerful AT Field user and potent figure in her own right. She had established a power base in the chaotic warlord-riven land that used to be Peru, Bolivia and Equador, and quickly began enforcing her will on the local populace whilst subjugating rival warlords and allying with a few others. For whatever reason, the ones Konstantina allied with also had warm, if informal ties to Colombia as well.

Unfortunately, information on Konstantina's whereabouts, abilities, or motives remained thin on the ground. The FCB thus decided that the best way to explore this situation would be through subtler arts. By sending infiltrators into one of these warlords with ties to Konstantina and Colombia, it became possible to find out if any of these elements played a greater role in the attack… And possibly bring the FCB closer to finding out information about Konstantina.

The chosen target was a warlord named Bernardo Loyola. An ambitious man who held large swathes of territory on the Colombian border, the FCB had long suspected that Colombia had paid him to either keep the peace or to bring some form of 'control' to the wilderness beyond its own territory. His ties to Konstantina- an informal alliance and perhaps something more substantial- only made him a sweeter target.

Requirements

Objective

Primary Objective
Successfully infiltrate Loyola's faction either through stealth or social means.
Once infiltration has been achieved, obtain information regarding Konstantina's whereabouts, territory and any agreements.
Secondary Objectives
Obtain information regarding any relationship between Loyola and Colombia.
Infiltrate and exfiltrate without being detected.
Place an Advanced Comm Interceptor somewhere safe within the complex.

Difficulty

Challenging. The primary goal is infiltration and avoidance of conflict, so agents with good stealth and/or social ability will excel here, especially agents with Spanish speaking skills. Combat is to be avoided, but if it occurs, escape will be a priority. Enemies are expected to be equipped with railgun technology and basic combat armour.

Personnel Allotments

Minimum Allotments Allowed
At least one agent drawn from the UN, UEF and FCB agent pools.
Maximum Allotments Allowed
At least four agents drawn from the UN, UEF and FCB agent pools.
Personnel Restrictions
Sarah Holt-Caine, Wu Yuanzhang and Vera Freitas Kuromiya are not permitted on this field mission, as they are too easily identifiable.
