He Said T This Is A Love Hotel

[11:31] <Isaiah> [Morning broke in the Katsuragi household. It was about 8 AM, and for Zhang Yanmei and Isaiah, it was probably a very well-deserved rest after what had been quite the day.]
[11:35] * Yanmei woke up slowly, cleaned herself without suffering more hallucinations, and groggily fussed with her hair. She was trying pigtails today for the first time in a long time, frowning at the results in a mirror. They were nowhere as long as what she was used to. It looked like someone else's hair…
[11:41] <Isaiah> [Her door opened. Isaiah had already been awake when Yanmei awoke, and the smell of -good- food could be smelled from the kitchen.-
[11:42] <Isaiah> "Good morning, Meimei." He said chipperly… Before letting out a little 'oh'. "You're trying pigtails?"
[11:43] <Yanmei> "Er…" she felt suddenly caught in a rather silly act, and she hastily tucked her brush away in her luggage. "Just for a change~ Or a return to normal, I guess? Does it look okay?"
[11:45] <Isaiah> "It looks lovely." He said warmly.
[11:45] * Yanmei relaxed at that, and grinned back at him. "Seems like you've been up to things too. Did you go grocery shopping?"
[11:46] <Isaiah> "I did. I'm not having instant noodles for breakfast." He said with a grin. "I managed to find us some fresh fish and vegetables."
[11:48] <Yanmei> "Hehe, you're a lifesaver! You should have woken me us so I could help, though."
[11:49] <Yanmei> ^up
[11:52] <Isaiah> "Ah, you needed the rest." Said Isaiah. "Breakfast will be up in ten, ok?"
[11:54] <Yanmei> "I'll be there!" She set to work cleaning up a little. Folding her futon, and shoving her pajamas into her bag. It wasn't long before she was in the kitchen too, blinking around.
[11:56] <Isaiah> [Something blinked back. That hallucination was sitting next to her, a bowl on the floor…!]
[11:57] <Yanmei> "…" Yanmei stared at it.
[11:58] <Isaiah> ["Wark." Said the hallucination.]
[11:59] <Isaiah> [There was also a saucer of beer next to the bowl.]
[12:01] <Yanmei> Even… weirder. There was more staring. Then she looked around to make sure no one was watching, and crouched down in front of it with an air of determination. "I don't know what you're supposed to be? But…"-
[12:02] <Yanmei> She reached out and tried to touch it!
[12:04] <Isaiah> [Poke. It warked in indignation and batted at her.-
[12:05] <Isaiah> "Is that the penguin?" Asked Isaiah, his back turned, putting food onto a plate.
[12:07] <Yanmei> "E-eh?" She turned back to Isaiah in surprise! "Penguin?" More poking, just to be sure. And because why not? "So… you see this thing too? It's certainly solid enough."
[12:08] <Isaiah> ["Wark! Waaark!"-
[12:08] <Isaiah> "Yeah. Misato said it was her roommate. It's name's Pen-Pen."
[12:14] <Yanmei> "What a weird roommate." She wrinkled her nose at it a little. "But~ Hearing that makes me feel much better. A good night's sleep, a nice breakfast, no troublesome hallucinations, and it won't be long before we're at a nice hotel. Today will be a good day!"
[12:15] <Isaiah> "Yes it will! Although… this place doesn't look as bad anymore." Said Isaiah, putting a plate of delicious grilled fish and roasted vegetables in front of Yanmei. Isaiah had been -busy-, and the apartment that Yanmei now sat in was much more like Marianne's than it had been.
[12:19] <Yanmei> "Isaiah, Isaiah, Isaiah. We're supposed to be relaxing now. That includes you."
[12:21] * Isaiah blushed a little. "I know, and I will, b-but I just figured… I'd help you first."
[12:27] <Yanmei> "You did this for me?" Yanmei blinked in surprise, giving the kitchen another once-over. If only there was a way for him to do that without helping Misato as well. That lady probably learned nothing from all of this. She sighed inwardly.
[12:32] <Isaiah> "Of course." Said Isaiah happily. "You can make it up to me later."
[12:37] <Yanmei> "Oh yeah?" Yanmei eyed her meal. "I can certainly try? But…" Now a little bit of guilt struck her.
[12:44] <Isaiah> "But…?" He quirked an eyebrow.
[12:45] <Yanmei> "You're doing these things because you want to, right?"
[12:45] * Isaiah chuckles. "Of course I am."
[12:46] <Yanmei> "Not because you feel forced or compelled to?"
[12:47] * Isaiah blinks. "What? I don't force myself to help you, Meimei." Said Isaiah with a grin.
[12:47] <Yanmei> "Good," she mumbled. "I don't want you to feel that way. You know that, right?"
[12:52] <Isaiah> "Huh? Of course I do. Is everything ok…?"
[12:55] <Yanmei> "Ah, hehe. Of course it is." She gave him a warm, reassuring smile. "I've just been thinking lately. You're always taking care of me. But I don't want you to feel like you have to… like you should give up on your own wants and dreams to do that. How should I put this…?" She tapped the table with the ends of her chopsticks a few times, until she remembered that it was bad manners.-
[12:56] <Yanmei> "I want to help you achieve your dreams. Not hold you back from them."
[13:05] <Isaiah> "…" Isaiah smiled warmly. "I really appreciate it, Meimei. I really do." He walked behind her and embraced her, his head on top of her's. "I know you'd be able to help. But that doesn't mean I'm simply just going to -abandon- you, too, you know. I don't have any dreams without you."
[13:08] * Yanmei patted his arms. Since he was behind and above her, it made hugging back really awkward unless she got up. "Is… that okay? Tell me what your dreams are, Isaiah."
[13:09] <Isaiah> "Well. I… Well." Isaiah seemed unsure how to respond.-
[13:09] <Isaiah> ["Uwaaaaaaaaaaah.~" Came the sound of someone yawning behind them.]
[13:11] <Yanmei> "Ah!" Yanmei hastily half-rose, turning. "Captain Katsuragi! Good morning!"
[13:14] <Isaiah> [The woman was wearing a chemise and short pyjama pants. She sat down at the table. "Call me Misato, Yanmei-kun… What smells so good?"-
[13:15] <Isaiah> ["I made breakfast!" Said Isaiah, disengaging from Yanmei and rushing over to put a plate down for Misato.-
[13:16] <Isaiah> ["… Wait, did we have these ingredients…?" Misato blinked. Then she shrugged happily. "A nurse and a cook? Maybe you're too good to be true, Isaiah-kun…" The woman took a deep breath, before quickly nipping over to the fridge…-
[13:16] <Isaiah> [To grab a beer.]
[13:18] * Yanmei kept her disapproving glares to herself - although she felt that one was definately appropriate then. "Do you have to go in to work, Misato-s-san?" That was the right honorific, wasn't it?
[13:20] <Isaiah> ["I go in at one." Said Misato. "I'll make sure you two are settled into your hotel first, which is why I woke up early." The woman cracked her beer, and, just like last night, downed it in about four seconds. "Aaaaahuuuuuu~!"]
[13:23] <Yanmei> "You got up early for our sakes?" What was this lady's definition of 'early' anyway? "Thank you. And it really was a pleasure rooming here with you and. Ah." She looked over at the penguin that wasn't so much a hallucination. Was it really going to drink beer too?
[13:25] <Isaiah> [Sip sip.-
[13:26] <Isaiah> [Misato thusly began on her fish!]
[13:27] <Yanmei> The FLASH of a camera phone. A few actually. Also an accompanied email to someone.
[13:29] <Yanmei> [To: gro.VREN|SLakusA#gro.VREN|SLakusA, From moc.liameerf|toliPteloiV#moc.liameerf|toliPteloiV, Body: WTH?]
[13:33] <Isaiah> ["Wark!"-
[13:33] <Isaiah> [Time passed. Breakfast was far, far better than the noodles, which saw Misato naturally make a few cracks about making Isaiah her live-in maid. However, after dinner she headed off and showered, and dressed, and brought the car around.]
[13:38] * Yanmei was ready to go. Today she was wearing shorts and a ruffled pink top and a cheerful expression. "What's this place like, Masato-" San? Something more formal? "Ah, Captain Misato?" There, that was a more comfortable fit.
[13:38] <Isaiah> [Isaiah was wearing a clean blue shirt with long white trousers. He put the bags away and slipped into the car.-
[13:39] <Isaiah> ["Oh, it's cozy." Said Misato. "A little expensive, but I'll pay for you two, ok? <3"]
[13:40] <Yanmei> "Are you sure? NERV's already covering our expenses, so…" Yanmei peered down at her own purse. "You've helped out so much already."
[13:43] <Isaiah> ["Oh, I don't mind~ You guys cleaned my apartment! Saves me the trouble." She started to drive now.]
[13:46] * Yanmei leaned back and relaxed, peering at the city as they passed it by. "I'll let you have my cell number too, just in case you need us for anything else. You'll probably be pretty busy, though?"
[13:48] <Isaiah> ["Probably." Said Misato. "But hey, I'll be around to take you guys out to all the best restaurants~"-
[13:51] <Isaiah> [The car- which remained strangely familiar to Yanmei- pulled into a street. Or rather, a boulevard. It was lined with, like most buildings in Tokyo-2, clean buildings and wide roads. She pulled in front of a hotel- a rather colourful place, certainly more than the other buildings nearby. The name of the hotel was in Japanese- and unfortunately, not the Kanji part, either.]
[13:53] <Yanmei> "Huh. They're certainly trying to attract attention." Yanmei peered back at the colorful sign. It didn't look all that classy. Still, it had to be better than that apartment. "Thank you for the ride."
[13:54] <Isaiah> ["No worries!" Misato parked and hopped out.]
[13:54] * Yanmei hopped out as well, snagging her luggage and waiting for Isaiah before heading inside.
[13:58] <Isaiah> [Isaiah hopped out as well! And they entered after Misato.-
[13:58] <Isaiah> [The interior was well lit, but plain, with just the odd couch and pot plant. There was a girl on reception.-
[13:59] <Isaiah> ["Ah, I'll take care of this~" Said Misato cheerfully, stepping up to the receptionist and quickly speaking in Japanese. A conversation blossomed, before Misato handed over a card, wrote something on an account book… And then smiled over at the pair.]
[14:00] <Yanmei> "So… it's all taken care of?" Yanmei smiled back at her a little hopefully.
[14:04] <Isaiah> ["That's right!" Misato made a face. "250 francs… But I owe it to you guys~ <3" She handed Yanmei a key. "Room 5, floor 3~"]
[14:05] <Yanmei> "Hm, thanks." Yanmei gripped her bags once again, and gave her one last cheery smile. "Well… we'll be in touch! Let's go out for dinner later tonight or something."
[14:09] <Isaiah> ["Sounds good~" And with a cheery wave, she was off.]
[14:11] <Yanmei> "Room 5. Let's go, Isaiah!" Yanmei trotted off, taking a more careful look at their surroundings as she went.
[14:13] <Isaiah> ["Right." Said Isaiah. The receptionist gave him a wink, and he blushed slightly before heading off. There was an elevator there.-
[14:13] <Isaiah> [The walls… Were quite velvet.]
[14:15] <Yanmei> "Ah. Interesting decorating choice?" Yanmei pressed a button, and shifted uncomfortably.
[14:16] <Isaiah> ["Seems like." The elevator muzak was… Saxxy.-
[14:16] <Isaiah> [Eventually they came to their floor. With a ding! The elevators opened. The walls were still purple.]
[14:19] <Yanmei> "…Isaiah? Are you getting a… weird vibe from this place?" Yanmei stepped off into the hallway, glancing around first at the walls, and then the room numbers
[14:20] <Isaiah> ["A little." Said Isaiah. "But I think it's just, you know. Maybe this is what hotels are like in Japan." He said, trying to give her a reassuring smile. "Room 5, over there!"]
[14:22] <Yanmei> "Right!" she hurried toward it and inserted the key. "Our new home for the next few weeks!" She pushed the door open!
[14:23] <Isaiah> […-
[14:24] <Isaiah> ['Velvet' was the wrong word to describe the room within. It was seething with velvet walls and velvet carpet. A giant bed sat against the end of the wall, covered in gaudy silks with a giant tacky love heart backing. A giant mirror sat at one end, overly gilded.-
[14:25] <Isaiah> [… Yanmei could see the bathroom because the wall between bedroom and bathroom was… A window.-
[14:25] <Isaiah> [… There was a kitchen that was mostly normal though!]
[14:26] <Yanmei> "…" One of the bags that Yanmei was holding dropped from her hand.
[14:27] <Isaiah> ["…" Isaiah stared. "Yanmei…"]
[14:28] <Isaiah> [At this point Yanmei would notice the heady, musky purfume wafting throughout the room.]
[14:29] <Yanmei> "Maybe…" She was trying to sort this out in her head. "T-th-they mixed up our room! That must be it. No…" she recalled the receptionist's wink. "No! Don't tell me she did this on purpose!"
[14:30] <Isaiah> ["…" Isaiah went pale. "S-She said she'd send… D-Dorian and Ariadne here. T-This is a love hotel…!"]
[14:32] <Yanmei> "W-what the hell?!" She was suddenly acutely aware that they were still standing on the threshold of the room. Yanmei spun around, frantic at the possibility of some passerby spotting them, and then - grabbing Isaiah by the shirt - vaulted into the room and slammed the door behind them.
[14:33] <Isaiah> ["W-wha-!?" The door shut.-
[14:35] <Isaiah> [Isaiah stared with wide eyes at the door. And then over to Isaiah. Then back to the room. He blushed. "W-Well. It could be worse." He said gamely. "At least she paid for it, right? If NERV had paid for it, it'd show up on the accounts…"]
[14:36] <Yanmei> "Yes, that's right, but…" Yanmei was taking deep breaths now, grasping around for the calmness needed to get through this situation. "All right. That's one silver lining. But we can't stay here, Isaiah."
[14:38] <Isaiah> "We can't?" He blinked. "I-I mean, we can't."
[14:41] <Yanmei> "…" Yanmei just pulled out her phone and stared at it, considering her options. "Calling Dorian or the Bunnies would be a good idea, but…" She could already hear their cackling in her ears. Endless cackles and blackmail, and rumors. "M-maybe Blanc would be a better idea? She and her boy can speak Japanese, so they could help straighten things out."
[14:42] <Isaiah> [At that point the phone in Yanmei's hand rang of her own accord.]
[14:44] <Yanmei> A gasp! She actually dropped it to the soft, velvet floor. Flushing a little with embarassment at her clumsiness, she retrieved it and cleared her throat. Professional Voice. "Yes?"
[14:45] <Isaiah> ["Hey~" Came the unmistakeable voice of Misato Katsuragi. "Did you like the room? I tried to get you the very best I could." She said. She sounded… Genuine. As if she'd honestly thought this was a good idea and she was doing them a favour.]
[11:46] <Yanmei> "Captain Misato," said Yanmei through gritted teeth. "Did you just check us into an… establishment of ill repute?"
[11:47] <Isaiah> ["Huh?" Misato's voice was playful. "No! I checked you into a Love Hotel~ It's got a good reputation, honestly, and everyone does it~ <3"]
[11:53] <Yanmei> "I see… …" There was a long pause. A small… sniffle? "I don't know what I've done to earn your ire, but I'll gladly brave the storm that follows when journalists catch wind of this scandal. Just… one question? Why tarnish poor Isaiah's reputation as well? He's harmless!"
[11:56] <Isaiah> ["H… Huh?" Misato seemed genuinely confused. "Didn't you two want a private somewhere to stay…?"]
[11:57] <Yanmei> "Not a love hotel! We're not, erm, intimate."
[11:58] <Isaiah> ["…" Silence. "Ahaha, ahaha. You nearly had me going there, Yanmei-san~" The woman laughed. "It's ok~ I'll keep it secret~"]
[12:02] <Yanmei> "B-but… there's a news van pulling up outside right now!" Yanmei, who was no where near window with a view of the street, summoned her acting lessons to put an extra bit of omph into that panicked cry.
[12:04] <Isaiah> ["I wouldn't worry about that. The Shirakawa Lovenest Hotel has a non-disclosure policy. I know how to pick 'em, right, Yanmei-san~? Hey, put Isaiah-kun, on."]
[12:06] <Yanmei> "What? No! He's distraught right now! Completely freaking out. You had better come pick us up!"
[12:07] <Isaiah> ["What sort of boy would freak out over that…?" A sigh. "Fine, I'll come get you. But you better pay me back! I paid half my monthly wage for that room…" A sad sigh.]
[12:08] <Isaiah> "H-Half…?"
[12:08] <Yanmei> "We'll get you a refund," said Yanmei without much remorse.
[12:09] <Isaiah> ["B-but they don't do refunds…!"]
[12:09] <Yanmei> … :How much did you pay? In Francs. Or Yen."
[12:11] <Isaiah> ["25,000 yen…!"]
[12:14] <Yanmei> "Th-that much?" Yanmei shut her eyes for a moment. There was only one person who could bail them out of this mess. She pictured him now, in his battlechair and shades… laughing endlessly at their predicament, and spreading stupid lies at important parties. Yanmei hung up on her.
[12:14] <Isaiah> [Beep.-
[12:14] <Isaiah> "… S-So… What do we do now?"
[12:16] <Yanmei> I don't know," Yanmei admitted. she was scowling down at the phone now.
[12:17] * Isaiah sat down on the bed, nearly sinking into it accidentally. "Whua." He pushed himself up. "How much money did she need…?"
[12:18] <Yanmei> 25,000 in yen
[12:19] <Isaiah> "Ah… That's quite a lot." Murmured Isaiah. "I… I guess I could pay her."
[12:21] <Yanmei> "Maybe we could just… walk out of here? Try to find a nice hotel on our own without mentioning it. She wouldn't have to know about it…"
[12:22] <Isaiah> "We could." Admitted Isaiah. "But… I feel kind of bad about that. Not using it when she paid for it, then not paying her back… I-I mean, this wasn't her fault."
[12:23] <Yanmei> "It totally -was- her fault," Yanmei muttered. Hell, she deserved it!
[12:24] <Isaiah> "… I don't think it was, though." Said Isaiah. "She… Um. She couldn't have known that we aren't like that."
[12:26] <Yanmei> "What sort of hostess takes two minors to a love hotel, though?" Yanmei folded her arms. "No one could be that irresponsible, could they?"
[12:27] <Isaiah> "Well…" Isaiah scratched his chin, and flopped backwards. "What sort of hostess brings her guests to a house overflowing with junk and a fridge full of beer?"
[12:28] <Yanmei> "…" Yanmei groaned, slumping down on one edge of the bed. "What's her problem, anyway?"
[12:31] <Isaiah> "I dunno. I think she was just trying really hard to make friendly with us." Said Isaiah. "She was… A little too cheerful, I guess, and she seemed to be trying a little to hard, to er…" Isaiah blushed. "Befriend me. Anyway." He turned to peer at Yanmei. "Maybe she doesn't think of you as a minor."
[12:34] <Yanmei> "Well, that -is- an easy mistake to make." Feeling very mature, Yanmei moved to toss her hair - and then stopped. "Wait. I won't be flattered out of this!"
[12:36] * Isaiah sat up. "Well… Why don't we call her up again? You can tell her it was a big misunderstanding, that I'm actually your maid or butler or something. That's probably something she understands…"
[12:38] <Yanmei> "But…" That actually startled her. She blinked at him, and then looked away in discomfort. "It's not right for people to see us like that. You're my friend, not a servant."
[12:39] <Isaiah> "I know that." Said Isaiah with a smile. "But it's hard to communicate that exactly. I'm not just another friend either, am I?"
[12:41] <Yanmei> "Isaiah… -you- don't see yourself as a servant, do you?"
[12:46] <Isaiah> "I don't." Said Isaiah with a carefree smile. "I admit, I'm very attached to you, and I don't know if I could live without you, but that doesn't make me feel like your servant or anything." He said. "I-It's a little embarrassing to say what I -do- feel like, though."
[12:47] <Yanmei> "Oh?" She relaxed a little bit. It seemed like a good sign. "Go on. I won't laugh."
[12:53] <Isaiah> "W-Well, um…" He blushed and fidgeted a little. "I s-sort of see myself as… Eurgh, it's really embarrasing." He shook his head. "I really do sort of feel like your spouse. I-I mean, we tell each other everything, and we trust each other, and we love each other, we even share beds sometimes… R-Remove the vows, and, well, the s-sexual intimacy, and we're practically married…"
[12:59] <Yanmei> "…" Yanmei… had to think about that a moment. "Do you really think so? Don't married couples fight and get sick of each other too?"
[13:03] <Isaiah> "I wouldn't know." Said Isaiah quietly. "But my mother and father were always happy with each other." He looked at Yanmei. "Married couples fight because of who they are, not because they're married. Do you think you'd get sick of me though, one day…?"
[13:05] <Yanmei> "Of course not!" Yanmei shook her head. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
[13:09] <Isaiah> "I don't know what I'd do without you, either." Said Isaiah. "And that wouldn't change just because we'd share a name…"
[13:11] <Yanmei> "Do you… ever want to have kids?" she asked after a long pause.
[13:15] <Isaiah> "Um." Isaiah pulled a leg up to his chin. "… W-Well, I… Is that a bad thing? I-I mean… I've always wanted a family…"
[13:17] <Yanmei> "When you think about married couples, you usually think of kids." Yanmei pointed out with an airy voice. "It's a natural enough progression."
[13:18] <Isaiah> "W-well, you're right." Said Isaiah, blushing. "I-I do want kids, but if you'd rather not, I mean…"
[13:21] <Yanmei> "Hehehe," she reached out and ruffled his fluffy blonde hair. It felt unusual to do it to someone else for a change. "It's not like we have to get started on it tonight or anything? To be honest, it's not something I've given a lot of thought to…"
[13:26] * Isaiah blushed greatly. "Well. That's true." He edged along, resting his head on Yanmei's shoulder. "I'd be surprised if you did, honestly. I don't think it's unusual that you haven't- Dr. Delgado said that it's a little odd for someone my age…" He said quietly. "I'll do whatever I can to make you happy, though. And comfortable with whatever happens."
[13:29] <Yanmei> What happened if two people wanted different things? Could they really make each other happy in the long run? "I'll do the same for you too, Isaiah. I meant it before when I said I wanted to help you follow your dreams." Her voice was firm, but… did this make her a liar? It was a sad thought.
[13:31] * Isaiah smiled, but he looked up at her for a moment too. "Ah… I'm sorry." He mumbled.
[13:32] <Yanmei> "Hm? What for?"
[13:32] <Isaiah> "All this talk about my dreams… About marriage and everything… It's selfish." He said. "I haven't even asked you about what -you- want."
[13:37] <Yanmei> "It's… sort of a blank?" Yanmei glanced aside, perhaps a little ashamed. "I'm supposed to fight, but that's only for the moment. After that, I'm supposed to stay in the public' eye for a while. But beyond that…"
[13:39] <Isaiah> Perhaps to Yanmei's surprise, Isaiah giggled. "I understand. But after this is all over, you'll be able to do anything." He said. "… hey, Dr. Clement said to me the other day, that his colleagues have been making big breakthroughs in using cybernetics to repair damaged limbs and stuff. Maybe you can become a runner."
[13:41] <Yanmei> "E-eh?!" she whipped toward him. "You really think that'd be possible?"
[13:42] * Isaiah nods enthusiastically. "Yeah! In fact, he said in 3-4 years time, he could make Dorian walk again."
[13:46] <Yanmei> "Amazing," she breathed. She tried to imagine it, but couldn't. Maybe she was a little afraid to. Suppose it never happened…
[13:48] <Isaiah> "Zhang Yanmei at the olympics." Said Isaiah warmly. He snuggled his head into her shoulder a little more. "Whatever you want to do, I'll be there to cheer you on."
[13:51] * Yanmei patted him, almost idly. "What I want to do…" she echoed, as if almost enamored with the concept. "Well. There's still a lot of time to make decisions. And speaking of that…" she glanced toward the door. "Let's figure out what we're doing now."
[13:53] <Isaiah> "Let's go." Said Isaiah. "I can pay Misato back, and we can go find a place that isn't a Love Hotel."
[13:54] * Yanmei started to rise. "Isaiah?"
[13:55] * Isaiah rose too! "Yeah?"
[13:55] <Yanmei> "Why do you have 25,000 extra yen?"
[13:58] <Isaiah> "I brought 1,500 francs for this trip." Said Isaiah cheerfully. "And 25,000 yen is roughly equal to 250 francs. I've been saving up my wages from work, and trying not to rely on my mother's estate."
[14:03] <Yanmei> "250 is half of…" Hahaha! And here she was, thinking that the -pilots- didn't have a big enough allowance. Yanmei nearly glowed~ But the mother remark made her sober up quickly. "Hm. Well, yeah. Of course there would be an estate? She was a pretty famous doctor, your mom. What… was she like?"
[14:05] <Isaiah> "… Loving." Said Isaiah, his smile fading a little. "She was the most caring person I've met. She made everyone around her happy. She doted on me, and…" He paused, picking up his bags as well as Yanmei's. "My dad was the best person in the world when he was with her."
[14:11] <Yanmei> "Dr -Gabriel- was?" The magnitude of the loss struck her like a ton of bricks. When she'd died, Isaiah hadn't jut lost his mom. He'd lost his dad and… a big part of himself, too. "She had a really good kid, you know?" She smiled at him. "You'll be a wonderful father someday, Isaiah."
[14:14] <Isaiah> "…" Isaiah smiled, slowly walking over to her. "I hope so. But I've only gotten this far because I met such a wonderful person, too."
[14:18] <Yanmei> "I'm nothing special." She put an arm around him, and guided him toward the door. "Alone, anyway."
[14:19] <Isaiah> "Well, it's good, because you're not." Said Isaiah, giving her a quiet kiss.
[14:23] <Yanmei> Happy, at least for now, Yanmei led the way towards the front desk once again.
[14:24] <Isaiah> [They had to wait for the elevator, of course.-
[14:24] <Isaiah> [Ding!…-
[14:24] <Isaiah> […-
[14:25] <Isaiah> [The stunned faces of Frederic and Sophie stared back out at them.]
[14:25] <Yanmei> "…"
[14:25] <Isaiah> "…"-
