Special Circumstances

Do you realise how much effort we put into taking this back!?: If the Paris-2 Geofront Base is destroyed or captured, the mission is an instant failure.
Limited Data: Circumstances mean that the map is shrouded in fog of war. Units may only see a number of KM equal to their Perception Bonus, but have shared vision.
Powerful Enemy: There is a chance of this battle having a particularly powerful foe appear, such as a Dysangelion, Divine Evangelion or an enemy Battleship.

Victory and Defeat Effects

Victory

Victory here will add the 1re Division de Super-Lourd to your Resource Pool.
Victory here will add your choice of either the 1e or 2e Armee Francaise to your Resource Pool.
Victory here will add two Hordes of Fighter Craft to the Dorian Lachapelle Battlegroup.

Defeat

Defeat here will incur a CP Fee of 10 CP.
Defeat here will trigger the "Last Stand at Paris-2" Mission in Turn 3.

Advice

Advisor Advice
Marianne2.png?dl=0 "The border between France and Germany is a border for a reason; seven centuries of France expanding to incorporate natural defenses means that the borderline is highly treacherous. Rivers and rough terrain force enemy units into awkward bottlenecks. Our hordes, especially infantry, should use terrain for cover at all times- infantry are great for fortifying forests because they don't suffer any movement penalties there. Otherwise, make sure to block urban crossings over rivers wherever possible."
Alphonse3.png?dl=0 "Their forces will hold the upper hand in pure numbers. They'll have a high number of AC Suits, and are likely to send them flying over rivers in an attempt to besiege our fortresses. Three things to look out for: Firstly: Dysangelions. We suspect we'll only have to fight the one if at all, but it's worth noting. Secondly: E-Destroyers. We can expect a lot of these units around and unlike last time, they'll be carrying heavy weaponry designed to kill Evas. Thirdly: Enemy air formations with Fusion Torpedoes. These things will tear apart Fortresses and Dreadnoughts with ease and, if an Eva is ever stunned, a concentrated bombardment of Fusion Torpedoes will turn it into a pile of quivering biomass faster than a teenage girl confronted with Guillory."
Minerva%20Linden.png?dl=0 "… Our local forces are well-balanced. Obviously the Dreadnoughts are well-placed within the Thomas Line Fortresses, and our aircraft are capable of taking on any type of air or ground force. Unfortunately they're both outnumbered and outgunned, so basic principles like ensuring units have proper fire support is essential. The French Leaders are good at defensive combat, but they'll never quite match our ODs. Optimally, I'd recommend Katsuragi take control of the Dreadnoughts, Wellesley take control of the Aircraft, and Brown take control of the 2e Armee Francaise. As for Supreme Commander, I'd suggest either myself and the Bell, Amatore and the Dorian, or General Liu in Paris-2."
Liu%20Lin.png?dl=0 "The enemy commander is Marshal Magistrate Selim. He's been chosen to lead this attack due to his experience at siege combat. Expect him to be careful and methodical. He'll seek out ambushes ahead of his forces and utilize heavy bombardments and fire support of defensive positions before he attacks. He's unlikely to throw men away in rush attacks unless he has either no choice or the gains are incredible. Don't expect him to be overly aggressive- he knows all he needs to do is secure the gates of France and wait for reinforcements."
