Special Circumstances

Allied Reinforcements: Any Horde Armies deployed during this battle are deployed as reinforcements. At the start of Round 2, your Supreme Commander tests Command or Tactics with a -50 penalty. On a success, one of their forces arrives on the battlefield. On a failure, no forces arrive. At the start of every subsequent turn, the Supreme Commander continues to take this test, reducing the penalty by 10 every time.
Cannon Fodder: Any UN losses from the Right Screen or Left Screen do not incur any morale damage to the UN. However, any losses from the Core Fleet incur an extra 1 Morale Damage.
Charge!: For the first turn only, all UEF hordes possess double MP.
Enemy Reinforcements: The enemy has extra units on the way. They never arrived.
Limited Data: Circumstances mean that the map is shrouded in fog of war. Units may only see a number of KM equal to their Perception Bonus, but have shared vision.
Powerful Enemy: Augustine appeared, along with two MP Evas of the Guardian and Avenger type.

Actor Dialogue
Misato3.png?dl=0 "We did it…! See, it's not just Wellesley who can pull off big wins out of nowhere. Aren't you all impressed?"
Maksym%20Page.png?dl=0 "It's astonishing… That we survived."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Of course it - hey. Man, ditch this jerk, you know we kicked butt today, right Hikari?"
Hikari%20Page.png?dl=0 "Ah… I actually think he's right…"
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Traitor…"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "These battles are becoming harder, nonetheless. Those new Mass Production models aren't the toughest things I've ever fought, but it's alarming just how much chaos is caused by having them around. Coordinated attacks are still the best way to pick them off, so good job, Hikari."
Hikari%20Page.png?dl=0 "Thanks!"
Maksym%20Page.png?dl=0 "Of course, a victory is twice itself if we bring back few casualties. Go's sudden defeat was a huge blow, and furthermore, it was a mistake."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Yeah… AT Tacs like Go are way too vulnerable. In the future we need to make doubly sure that they're protected by a Pointman or some serious defenses at all times."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "You'd think having Go smashed up at Canute would be enough of a lesson. Toji had other duties, I suppose, but you'd think Sera would know bett- no, sorry, I forgot, the scumbag never learns."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Hey, hey. Calm. He was out of position because he was shielding you."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Out of all the units on that field, I am by far the least in need of shielding. Let the enemy hit me all they want, they regret it in the end. Go's fragile, but she's also very useful and she's one of the best ways we have of cancelling Augustine out. Why do you think he keeps going for her? In future, tell Sera or Toji to look after her properly."
Maksym%20Page.png?dl=0 "I'm no expert when it comes to AT Field warfare, but finding ways to counter and defeat Augustine are a necessity. Future battles will be exactly like this: he'll use the MP Evas as distractions or as sucker punches to finish his dirty work. Look what we saw today: he beheaded Go with ease."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Those new Sigilite weapons are a menace as well, especially in Augustine's hands. You alright, Hikari? It looked like it got pretty hot out there."
Hikari%20Page.png?dl=0 "I'm alright, thanks."
Maksym%20Page.png?dl=0 "The spectre of death, evaded by only the barest of breaths. Fickle fate separates the medal from the tombstone, young captain. Today, you're truly a woman."
Hikari%20Page.png?dl=0 "…"

Let's see. 100 Reserves for Go's Eva. 15 Reserves for Enterprise. 15 Reserves for our American Destroyers. 5 Reserves for Hikari's robot. 1 Reserves for the Invincible's Bombers. That makes for a total of 136, or… just over 9 CP in costs! And we only got 8 from this fight! Yaaaay!"

Events

Ambush

Actor Dialogue
eva-05%20card%20pog.png?dl=0 EVA-05 came like a sea beast of legend, or like some grand monstrous kaiju arising out of the waves. Its body broke the waterline and reared above the UNS Saint Helena. Huge sheets of water came crashing down off the armoured plates and crest of the Evangelion, inundating the surface of the mighty battleship. The ship's turrets slowly rotated to jut their muzzles toward the beast, and fired- only for the pulse shots to ricochet off a broad AT Field.
eva-05%20card%20pog.png?dl=0 The Eva grabbed the battleship with both hands, steam rising in great billowing clouds off the super-hot energy fields rippling around the claws. Corrosive acid dripped off 05's maw onto the battleship's armour, scoring and defacing it in myriad places. 05 reared its head back and tore open its jaw.
eva-05%20card%20pog.png?dl=0 For a few long dread seconds the Eva stood, waist-deep in water, a tableau of impending destruction. Its teeth glistened sharp and bright in the fading sunlight. Not once did it look like something ultimately controlled by a human being.
eva-05%20card%20pog.png?dl=0 Then 05 struck. It smashed its jaw down onto the Saint Helena, a mix between a lunging bite and a headbutt. The armoured bony growths on its head bluntly smashed aside towers, dishes and bulkheads, whilst the jaws bit deep into the hull. 05 pulled away and the crude hunk of vessel caught between its jaws twisted and splintered. Another pull, and a whole chunk of the ship was torn away, including several turrets. Belowdecks were exposed to the elements. 05 compressed its jaws once, twice, three times; the chunk was crushed, gave way, and crumbled, a million pieces of debris falling into the ocean.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Come on… Give up. Give up already!"
MPEva%20pog.png?dl=0 All of a sudden the surface of the water behind 05 broke and burst upwards. A tall, slender white shape shot out of the water, a pair of wide black wings spreading out of nowhere from small stubs on its back.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Huh…? Eva!"
MPEva%20pog.png?dl=0 The white Eva landed, both feet pushing hard down on 05's back. It lunged downwards with a long bident; a false lance. In its other hand it held a long, thin sword, the hilt a double helix whilst the blade itself was slightly leaf-shaped, with a broad surface. It slashed with the sword, cutting deep into 05's left arm, whilst the lance tore flesh and armour throughout the body.
MPEva%20pog.png?dl=0 It pulled the lance free, then struck again. And again. Each time the tines of the bident crackled with bright rainbow energy, piercing and dividing 05's flesh. Leaving 05 covered in wounds from a dozen different places, the white Eva kicked 05 roughly in the back of the head, hurled itself into the air, then twisted its torso mid-air like a cat before shooting off into the sky, away from the sun.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Guh…! Command, this is 05! Hostile Evangelion sighted, using ambush and hit and run tactics!"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "… But they're going to need to do a whole lot better than that if they want to finish me off."

Beheading

Actor Dialogue
Ayanami%20Eva%20Tiny%20Pog.png?dl=0 The angry red thin beam of Go's Long Mas sparked through the air and struck one of the Lagos's turrets. The armour and machinery beneath glowed red as it superheated. A second later it exploded outwards, a huge orange-red wave of heat and light washing over the rest of the vessel.
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "This is Go! Direct hit! Heavy damage to Lagos, aft side turret destroyed!"
Ayanami%20Eva%20Tiny%20Pog.png?dl=0 Go grabbed a small latch on the left side of her rifle and pulled it. The rifle vented steam for a second before the latch snapped back.
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "This is Go! Calling shot to Lagos, port side t-"
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Go, look out!"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "Huh?!"
MPEva%20pog.png?dl=0 The aggressive white Eva tore across the sky, every powerful beat of its wings propelling it to greater speeds. At the apex of its flight it then turned and dove downwards, its lance held under its arm like a jousting knight- aimed directly at Go's head!
MPEva%20pog.png?dl=0 Go narrowly leapt aside, the lance instead punching through several decks of the Enterprise. The white Eva hung in the air, upside-down like an acrobat balancing on top of a pole. It fell forwards. Mid-fall it raised its right leg until the heel sat level with the head. It swung down fast and caught Go on the temple, staggering her backward, tripping over a grounded fighter jet, scrambling to her feet as the white Eva lashed out with its sword, catching Go's rifle and sending it flying with a flick of the wrist.
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "H-Help me!"
Solomon%20Elemiah%20Campaign.png?dl=0 Unseen to all except Go, Solomon Augustine's Dysangelion stood, invisible, behind Go. It caught Go around the waist with its left arm, bending her backwards like a dancer catching his partner. With simple, elegant brutality he lifted his sword and plunged it tip-first into Go's neck. A sudden slash outwards. The ugly wound instantly began spurting huge gouts of blood, staining the flight deck red.
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "N-Nngh-hrk-"
Solomon%20Elemiah%20Campaign.png?dl=0 With casual force, Augustine shoved Go off the side of the deck. Before she could fall, however, he grabbed her head with his left hand. The hand shone. A rainbow corona burst from between the Dysangelion's clawed fingers. A second later, a spear of white energy ripped through Go's head. The Eva spasmed…
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "Aaah- Aaaaagh- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
Solomon%20Elemiah%20Campaign.png?dl=0 So ruined was the head that there was little for Augustine to truly grab onto. The frayed neck tore roughly apart, and the headless body of Go's Evangelion plunged into the ocean. It spasmed for a few seconds more- then slumped. A hatch on the back burst open. A second later, the Entry Plug rocketed out, corrected its course mid-flight and hurled northwards to safety.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Go… No!"
Sera_50.jpg "Tch. He's made his move… Toji, Enterprise, now! Everyone else, their fleet is vulnerable, make sure this ends here!"

Serakillers

Killing Field

Actor Dialogue
Battleship%20Pog.png?raw=1 The four mighty battleships of the United Nations Atlantic Fleet cruised towards the Enterprise. They were arranged in an angled V formation, their many heavy turrets trained forwards, and every few minutes the flash of cannons firing heralded another salvo of blinding pulse-haloed slugs towards the Federation fleet. Each time, Go's AT Field kept most of the fire away, but the UN warships also possessed heavy-duty Impact Cannons- it wouldn't take much for the rail slugs to break through Go's field once they were ready to fire.
Hikari%20Page.png?raw=1 Inside the Jingu, Horaki Hikari let out a long, shaky breath. She slowly opened her brown eyes. Endless bright blue ocean, dotted with the dull grey of warships and the cyan flashes of pulse energy. Hikari looked down at her weapons display- both masgun and rail rifle were hemmed in with red brackets.
Hikari%20Page.png?raw=1 "Jingu to Fox Squadron. Priority targets sighted. Attack plan sent. Weapons free!"
Hikari%20Page.png?raw=1 The red locking brackets on her weapons display turned green and parted. Hikari raised her rail rifle.
Desu%20A%20Pog%20Tiny.png?raw=1 -BLEEDER ROUNDS ACTIVATED-
Hikari%20Page.png?raw=1 A single shot. The round smashed into the hull of the Casablanca and exploded- not as a wave of heat or force, but as a sonic concussion wave, causing the ship's metallic armour belts to bend, crack and buckle.
Kensuke%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Hells yeah! Leaves the power generator right open- good shot, Class Prez! Heads up, Akuma!"
Kensuke%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 Aida Kensuke turned to his right. Visible through the Kagutsuchi's window was Akuma, Musashi Lee's unit. Bulky, slow, heavily armed; its frame was dominated by the 15-metre long twin pulse railcannons that rested on its shoulders. Kagutsuchi casually pulled a fat, stubby power cell off its belt and tossed it Musashi's way. Mid-air the cell rotated, aimed for the central power pack of the Akuma's cannons, and fastened hard to it.
Kensuke%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Overclocked to the max, Musashi! Let 'er rip!"
Musashilee%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "I read. Charge at 220%! Akuma playing the ultimate Trump Card, now!"
Musashilee%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 A harsh blue glow built up in the cannons' holding chambers. A second later, they fired. The force sent violent shudders and vibrations throughout even Akuma's sturdy frame, but it was nothing compared to what happened to the Casablanca. The furious pulse bolts struck Hikari's breach and easily punched through the entire hull of the vessel. Before the heat trails of the projectiles had faded, Casablanca erupted, a massive explosion tearing straight through the superstructure of the ship with such force that the bottom of the ship rose a few metres out of the water. It had been torn in half.
Musashilee%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Scratch one!"
Hikari%20Page.png?raw=1 "Amaterasu!"
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 The Amaterasu was Yamagishi Mayumi's unit. It was a heavy artillery unit like the Akuma, but instead of long, thin railcannons it had a pair of short, stubby fusion multiguns, looking like nothing but three normal fusion guns bolted together. At Hikari's command it accelerated toward the Cape Town.
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Understood. Please cover me…"
Battleship%20Pog.png?raw=1 The Cape Town's pulse cannons rotated and began to track Amaterasu. A second of bright light from the holding chambers preceded a barrage of fire, streaking through the sky towards Amaterasu- the unit was too slow to evade!
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Agh-!"
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "… Eh?"
Toji%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 The bolts never struck home. Standing between the Amaterasu and the Cape Town was the Bishamon, the unit of Suzuhara Toji. A heavy, sturdy unit wielding a massive shield, it had blocked the barrage with its own body.
Toji%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Oy, these goons gotta lotta nerve. You're not gonna let 'em get away with that, right?
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "… Oh. Thank you."
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 Amaterasu sharply dropped, nearly splashing into the sea. Mayumi accelerated, pushing her craft towards the battleship, a rippling wake left on the surface of the water below. The barrels of her multiguns began to glow…
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Binary Sun Strike, firing…"
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 Blue-white beams of radically intense heat burst forth, so bright as to make the Amaterasu a dark blot on its radiance. The fusion beams tore through the Cape Town; belts of armour, reinforced hulls, layer and layer of levels and metal shells, all in a twinkling, ended. The water boiled, then exploded upwards, helping to rend the ship apart. There were myriad screams of horror, pain and terror and the crew began to flee the ship, only to boil in the froth below. The flames and the glowing red metal were reflected in Mayumi's helmet, hiding her eyes.
Mayumi%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Target destroyed."
Asari%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 A blurred shape blew through the flames, directly over Amaterasu's head. Raijin.
Asari%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Hmph."
Asari%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 Raijin burst toward the increasingly lonely looking Saint Helena. Already battered from an earlier attack from EVA-05, it didn't have a hope of intercepting Asari Keita. Raijin's right leg struck out and slammed into the side of the battleship with enough force to tilt it violently toward the starboard. With leverage gained, Keita began swinging with his twin prog swords. Huge gouges of metal and turret were shorn away, constantly making the Saint Helena's port side lighter… And the ship more lopsided.
Asari%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "Enough."
Asari%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 He reversed his prog swords and shoved them into the water beneath the battleship. The progressive edges, glowing hot with friction, caused the water to superheat. The ensuing steam explosion was all Keita needed; the Saint Helena fell hard on its starboard side, completely helpless, a turtle flipped onto its back. Keita lifted his prog swords- examined them for a second- then sheathed them across the Raijin's wing docks.
Asari%20page%20pog.png?raw=1 "What a waste of time."

Dummy Plug

Actor Dialogue
Misato3.png?dl=0 "This is about the data we sent, right? On the MP Evas and the Dummy Plugs?"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "That is correct."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Can you tell us much about Dummy Plugs?"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "I'd think so, considering I created them."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Naturally."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Please continue, Doctor."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Dummy Plugs were designed to replace Evangelion pilots in the field. Strategically, commanders only chose to use children to pilot Eva units because it was the only method that worked. Children are, of course, emotional, chaotic, disobedient… As soon as synchronization technology emerged and we realised only children could operate it, work began on reducing the margin of risk from putting them in control. NeoSpartans, 'doll' pilots like the Ayanami Pilots were originally intended to be, so on."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "The concept of the Dummy Plug would solve these problems by replacing the pilot altogether."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "How?"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Synchronization tech still requires nerve pulses, so step one was cloning an eligible pilot. The empty vessel, lacking a soul and thus will of its own, would then have memory imprints, similar again to what happens to an Ayanami. The imprinted vessel is then placed within a complex rig of implants and machinery that controls its nerve pulses- in essence, the vessel becomes a biological intermediary between the commander transmitting the orders, and the Eva that receives them."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "How vile…"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "That doesn't make sense. It takes more than nerve pulses to synchronize, you also need a soul, and a specific soul. That's why the only pilots are A-Types or E-Types. If stuffing an empty vessel into an Eva was all it took, you would never even need a pilot!"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Correct. The genetic mutations caused by A-Type and E-Type souls- the mutations we believed responsible for synchronization, early on- were carried over to the vessels, of course. But they still didn't synchronize, not without a soul. The easiest and dirtiest method to make it work was what we called the Mark Zero Dummy Plug System: a Dummy Plug system that would activate and take command from a pilot already in the Entry Plug. Using the same synchronization technology created to make human-Eva neural connections, the Dummy Plug would then connect into the Pilot, override the pilot's own actions, and then through the pilot provide the commander complete control over the Eva."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "A four step system. Input from Commander is then routed through the Dummy, then through the Pilot's body, then into the Eva, which is then outputted as action…"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "… Turning the Eva pilot into nothing more than a living ignition key."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Correct. The project failed to produce the intended result, however."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "What happened?"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Firstly, test pilots found the process extremely traumatic. Some became catatonic or developed disorders. This led to extremely unstable pilots and, naturally, plummetting synch ratios."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "That's not surprising. The sensation of having your body act and respond without permission is one of the most confronting experiences someone can go through."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Secondly, we found that the level of control was too imprecise. Eva, pilot, dummy… With the pilot present and in a state of absolute emotional chaos, the mental pollution made control unreliable at best. The barest of orders were possible: attack this target, command might say, and the Eva might respond, but often in wild, uncontrolled ways that made child pilots look appealing by comparison."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Finally, the rudimentary demi-Evas we developed often rejected the dummy plug outright, making it not worth the time."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "And so the project was shelved…"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Hardly. We continued working on it."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "… Of course you did."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "The subsequent version of the project still used cloned vessels. Only this time, to circumvent the process of needing a pilot's soul to synchronize, we placed 'souls' within the vessels. We took tiny slivers of an eligible pilot's soul, fed the soul into the vessels, then had them pilot. The slivers were so weak, the computers on hand with Command were easily able to override any resistance from the vessel's will. We called this the Mark One Eugenia Ranvier Dummy Plug System."
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "You…"
Misato3.png?dl=0 "But it didn't work."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "No. One of the curiosities of metaphysical biology is that you can have an empty vessel, a clone of a human being, without it being subject to the pressures of the ego. It is, after all, just matter- flesh, bone, blood, whatever. That's how we store all the backup Ayanami bodies. Once you place a soul or a sliver of soul within the empty vessel, however, it 'claims' it, and the body is then considered to belong to the soul, its form then being defined by that soul's ego barrier. Collapse the barrier and the body will collapse into LCL."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "And that's what happened with our Eugenia Ranvier dummies. We estimated that the barest contact with a hostile AT Field, such as an Angel's, would dissolve the dummy's ego barrier within seconds, and the shard would return to Ranvier. More importantly, it also meant that any Eva subjected to this dummy would be able to override and control the dummy with ease… So the only Eva we could feasibly use it on was EVA-00. This, too, was a poor result, and it was eventually decided that we'd rely on NeoSpartans and doll soldiers, or else more traditional methods, to shape our pilots."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "But these MP Evas…?"
Surov2.png?dl=0 "From the data you've sent me, I can conclude that this is a new version, one I had no part in making, but it bears the marks of having been based on my work. It is an advanced model that uses empty vessels of Aline Blanc. I can't ascertain how it synchronizes with the MP Eva, especially since the same mechanisms which force a Dysangelion to dissolve if defeated also forced the MP Evas to dissolve shortly after defeat. Nonetheless, I suspect that our clue here is Blanc. Why use Blanc when they could use other A-Types? My theory is that they're taking advantage of Remote Synchronization inherent to the E-Type Field. I suspect they've shackled Blanc's soul within the Eternity Drive and are using the bodies to 'trick' the MP Eva into thinking she's physically there so it'll take orders from a field commander. It might work, but I need more data. I need an MP Eva alive."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Oh, not a problem at all. Sounds like a walk in the park, Surov."
Surov2.png?dl=0 "Good. Surov out."
Misato3.png?dl=0 "Damn that man! Doesn't he understand sarcasm?"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "He understands sarcasm just fine. I'm more concerned about his lack of understanding of morality or ethics or any mortal restraints like that. He's appalling…"

Cold

Actor Dialogue
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 The waters of the Caribbean should've been warm, yet… They stabbed like ice through Go's body. Even though she was safe in her plug, the LCL having slowly drained out onto the giant yellow float the plug currently rested upon. Mental contamination, everything was backwards, for whole minutes after the brutal death the LCL had looked bluish.
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "I-I-I-I…"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 Go chattered, her knees drawn up against her arms, wrapped around her chest. Her test-type plugsuit seemed flimsier and thinner than it usually did. She hated it. Hated it so much…
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 All of a sudden, the escape hatch to Go's plug hissed, then swung open with a squeak. Standing unevenly in the hatchway was Isaiah, LCL dripping down his face and hair. He was gripping onto the side of the hatch carefully.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "H-Hey, Go. You alright…?"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "I-I-Isa-saiah. C-Cold…"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "You're alright. Come on, can you stand up?"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 Go did nothing but shiver violently, apparently unwilling to unwrap herself out of her relatively warm cocoon.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 With a small sigh, Isaiah carefully stepped inside the plug. The LCL sloshed about his calves.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Do you want me to carry you? Just nod or shake your head."
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 Go nodded quickly.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 He stepped over to her and placed a hand beneath her knees and her shoulders. With a slight grunt he lifted her up, anchoring her against his chest. So secured, he turned and cautiously stepped back outside, where EVA-05 was waiting, along with the E-Destroyer of Toji Suzuhara. Isaiah climbed onto Suzuhara's unit's outstretched hand and sat down. The hand moved. It raised Isaiah and Go up until they were level with 05. With an informal salute of thanks at Suzuhara, Isaiah walked off the hand and awkwardly maneuvered himself and Go back into his own plug. A few minutes of recalibration to reestablish synch signal and they were good to go.
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 Go was quiet as a churchmouse the entire time. She buried her head against Isaiah's chest like a scared child nestling against a father. Warm. Isaiah was warm, warm and safe, and Go wanted nothing more than to stay like that for as long as possible, staving off the phantom chill of unreal waters as well as the phantomchill of a much more real death.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 A half hour later, EVA-05 was stowed safely within the damaged, burned, buckling hull of the Enterprise- a hull that yet stood despite its wounds. Isaiah had climbed out of the Plug, Go desperately clinging to him all the while. Fortunately enough, the showers still seemed to work: Isaiah took Go to the women's and let her down, gently prising her hands free of his neck.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "There you go, hon. Have a long shower, get warmed up. It'll do you good. Don't worry about taking too long."
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "I… I… I-I'm sorry!"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 All of a sudden Go was crying, sobbing in terror and shame, her hands clapped over her face. Within seconds Isaiah was kneeling down next to her, pulling her close yet again.
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "Shhh-hhh. It's alright. It's okay. You're safe now, Go. I'm here…"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "W-Why? W-Why me again? W-Why does he… I-I can't… H-Help me…"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "You're alright. I'll be here as long as you need me to be."
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 Go cried for a good ten minutes. She was scared. Scared of dying, but also scared of him. The invisibile Dysangelion… Twice now he'd appeared out of nowhere, twice he'd brutalised her whilst she'd been helpless to respond. How long until he killed her…?
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "I-Isaiah…?"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "What do you need?"
Ayanami%20Go.png?dl=0 "C-Can I stay with y-you tonight? I'm sorry…"
Isaiah%204.png?dl=0 "I understand. Of course you can, Go. That won't be any trouble at all."
