The younger brother of NERV Lieutenant Frédéric Gosselin, Patrice Gosselin is an intelligent young man with his elder brother's sense of playfulness, combined with a mischevious willingness to bend the rules. A dyed-in-the-wool computer geek, in another era Patrice would've been marginalised, even bullied. In the Post-2I world, however, a familiarity and skill with computers have become nothing short of fantastic credentials for employment- Patrice's skill and deftness has more or less ensured him a place in a university and a comfortable job afterwards.
Patrice is friendly boy, more than willing to reach out to new students, especially some of the shakier ones. He doesn't quite seek the limelight of schoolyard popularity, nor is he really of the mind to -achieve- it; nevertheless, his presence is generally a welcome sight to the students of Saint Louis.
The emergence of the Evangelions and the attack by Gazardiel has given everyone on Earth a good deal to think about; Patrice, however, has made up his mind. With his brother working for NERV and the undeniable -awesome- of the Eva, Patrice is NERV's biggest fanboy- so much so that he created the NERV Fan Club on his very first day back at school.
