Tyra And Xiri S Picnic

*Xiri is waiting for Tyra at Whatever Park, Someplace Square, Itsinthismap District. She's dressed more modestly this time around - a sleeveless pulldown robe with a stylish tassle over her waist, pink in color. She likes sporting her pink at times. She's got a big basket in hand as she sits on a bench by the park's square.
*Tyra has once again eluded her security, as is her wont when she's having a rendevous with Xiri. The eladrin singer would spot her approaching the park square, her own garb a tad different from her usual attire as well. A set of comfortable denim slacks, a simple white short sleeved shirt and sandals are the main points of it. Her hair is left unrestricted as per usual, though with the shift in
<Tyra> -outfit people may have to look twice to make sure it's actually Tyraline Paskell. Hanging from her shoulder is a stylish black leather purse as well.
*Xiri looks towards Tyra and does that now-familiar Xiri excited handwave, which is adorable of her. She gets up, excited, and carries her basket with her as she approaches. "Hello."
*Tyra can't help but giggle, stepping forward to wrap her arms around Xiri in a quick hug. "Hello, you. I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?"
*Xiri shakes her head and looks about. "I guess Neville isn't coming, then?"
*Tyra giggles again, stepping back. "I, ah, took care of that. Papa had other tasks for him." She clears her throat for a moment, then speaks a near perfect imitation of her father's voice. "Very important tasks. Vital to security at the Tower."
*Xiri raises her eyebrows. "You told him you wanted security away for this?"
*Tyra waggles a finger. "I just wanted some privacy, that's all. Picnicing with a bunch of suits kind of ruins it I think."
*Xiri laughs and says, "I prepared extra sandwiches just in case. We'll have plenty of food between us, then!"
*Tyra shakes her head, chuckling. "Oho, well then." She starts, realizing something and quickly digging through her purse for a moment. Soon enough she produces one crystal telephone, beaming. "Here we go. Direct line between this one and the one in my room."
*Xiri 's eyes widen as she picks it up and goes, "So this is a … telephone?"
*Tyra nods, still grinning practically from ear to ear. "Yep!"
*Xiri peers at it awkwardly, as if a caveman staring at a gun. "How does this work again?"
*Tyra giggles for a moment, then reaches over to walk Xiri through how to make use of it. Considering it's a direct line to her, it's pretty easy to get the hang of.
*Xiri 's eyes widen as she experiments with it and says, "It's just like using magic."
*Tyra nods excitedly. "Pretty much! They based it around that and designed the magitech around it to mimic so people could use it without knowing the actual spells…"
*Xiri oohs as she says, "I can't believe I'm not using a spell."
*Xiri looks to her, holding the phone in both hands, and says, "Let me call you."
*Tyra nods, taking a step back.
*Xiri calls Tyra, putting the phone on her ear.
*Tyra waits a few more moments before a melody sounds from her purse. A bit of rummaging follows before she withdraws a phone as well, holding it up with a wide grin. "Heeeelloooo~"
*Xiri 's eyes widen as she says excitedly, "I can hear your voice through here!" A pause, and then she says, "No, wait, I don't believe it. Let me walk away." And then she pats on away behind a bush, deep into the trees. "Now?"
*Tyra giggles again, responding. "Yep! I'm telling you, you can call me from anywhere."
*Xiri gasps a bit as she says, "I can actually hear your voice, Tyri!"
*Tyra nods. "Yeeeep! Anywhere, anytime!"
*Xiri paces back as she looks down towards the phone to say, "Well… anytime? I mean, what if you're in a meeting or somewhere important?"
*Tyra tilts her head. "I'll find a way, Xi."
*Xiri shakes her head and just says, "I just don't want it to ring while you're somewhere important. Can you turn it off?"
*Tyra nods. "Or put it into a quiet mode, yeah."
*Xiri aahs lightly and says, "Okay, that makes sense."
*Tyra tucks the phone back into her purse, giggling as she slides her arm around Xiri's. "So, you said we have extra food, mmmm?"
*Xiri puts her phone in the basket and nods, blushing as Tyra holds her arms around. "Yep. Also… you look really nice. Casual."
*Tyra snickers, glancing downwards for a moment. "It keeps other people from recognizing me. They're too used to the suit."
*Xiri smiles a bit as she moves them towards a nice open park where they can soak in the sunlight and perhaps later solarbeam some corporate corrupt employees. "Well, it's good to mix things up once in a while. The suit's very gallant on you, but…"
*Tyra tilts her head, still grinning as she walks with Xiri. "Buuuuut..?"
*Xiri smiles bashfully and says, "Well, I guess it does feel a little alienating sometimes. You do feel like you're 'one of the boys' with it on to me, or somesuch. That's silly…"
<Tyra> Oho. Too masculine?
*Xiri tilts her head. "I'm not sure. Maybe. I mean, it's really quite captivating. But I like this side of you too."
*Tyra taps her chin for a moment, looking rather contemplative. "Hmm… perhaps I should wear a dress and find you a nice suit the next time we go out…"
*Xiri 's eyes are wide for a moment as she says, "A suit, for me? Really, Tyri, you've quite the imagination."
*Tyra giggles, looking over at Xiri and smirking for a moment. "Oh? You were the one who suggested it first, I think I could find something for you…"
*Xiri shakes her head as she pouts and says, "No more gifts!"
*Tyra pouts herself for a moment, then rests her head on the taller woman's shoulder. "Fine, fine… hm, will this spot do you think?"
*Xiri nods slowly, sitting down and pulling into the basket. There's a large tablecloth that she spreads out for them. "Wonderful."
*Tyra takes a seat as well, setting her purse down next to her. "How have things been going in the meantime, Xi?"
*Xiri mmms softly and says, "Just great. The Lente's as it ever is, and I've got a letter from some out-of-towners who want to play while they're in town."
<Tyra> Oh? Which out of towners?
*Xiri giggles as she says, "My brother and his glam friends. I wasn't quite sure if their style would fit the Lente's ambience, so I asked the Paxian Amplitheatre's owners and they said yes."
*Tyra blinks a couple of times, then grins. "Ooooh, your brother?"
*Xiri nods slowly, and says, "He's got a very eccentric but interesting sense of music."
<Tyra> Hmmmm… when are they playing?
*Xiri mmms softly and says, "In a week or two, I think? We haven't made specific plans yet."
*Tyra gestures towards the basket, waiting to see what delights emerge. "Let me know when, we should go see it."
*Xiri has prepared sandwiches. Delicious triple-decker club sandwiches filled and marked with all sorts of treats. Ham, cheese, lettuce, onion, egg, tomato… there's even one marked 'Tyri <3', which is filled with her favorite ingredients.
*Tyra naturally gravitates towards the one marked with her name, giggling as she opens it before actually letting out a small 'eeee'. "Oh man, you even included the peppers and the olives and and…"
*Xiri nods nods nods. "I did take note each time you asked for something special at the Lente, Tyri."
*Tyra takes a bite, closing her eyes and mmming as she chews and swallows. "Aah… you spoil me too much, Xiri, you really do."
*Xiri humphs a little and pokes her finger out to lightly tap her on the nose, saying, "Oh, come on, this from the one who bought me earrings and a phone…" Which, are, incidentally, jangling on her earlobes.
*Tyra giggles, reaching up with a hand to take Xiri's hand in her own. "Maybe, but remembering the little details like that…"
*Xiri smiles widely as she takes her hand and says proudly, "Hey, I do it for all my customers. Like, Kindly old Mrs. Thatcher likes her potatoes extra-mushy. Mr. Blair doesn't like carrots."
*Merilan smiles widely as she takes her hand and says proudly, "Hey, I do it for all my customers. Like, Kindly old Mrs. Thatcher likes her potatoes extra-mushy. Mr. Blair doesn't like carrots."
*Tyra nods again, taking another bite of her sandwich. "Mmmm… that makes sense, yeah. Still though, you got it just perfect."
*Xiri grins softly as she says, "It gets better." She doesn't reveal how, though, just yet, since she's taking out her own sandwich, which comes with a little salad bowl for her.
*Tyra takes a few more bites out of her sandwich, raising an eyebrow questioningly but deciding to not press for details right away. She might also be a bit distracted by how delicious the food is.
*Xiri is chomping down on her sandwich herself. Mmm! Delicious. "You might want to bring back some of the food. I made Neville a turkey sandwich."
*Tyra swallows a bite, nodding. "I will. It'll keep him from getting /too/ annoyed with me, I'm sure."
*Xiri giggles as she says, "Oh, Tyri, you do give them a hard time."
*Tyra looks a bit guitly for a moment, keeping her gaze on the sandwich. "I do what I have to do. I mean really, it's kind of stifling…"
*Xiri tilts her head and says, "Right. Well, they get paid for it, so I'm sure they don't mind too much, no?"
*Tyra nods at this, finishing off her sandwich. "Mmhmm. A saving grace of sorts."
*Xiri pops a baby tomato into her mouth and says, "And at least I'm sure they all just care about your safety!"
*Tyra nods again, smiling as she looks out at the park. "You're right, you're right. Maybe I should ease up on them a little bit."
*Xiri puts a fork in the salad, chomps, and eats. Then she notices Tyra's finished her sandwich, so it's time for that 'gets better' qualifier… dessert. Tyra's favorite, again. "
<Xiri> "Here you go."
*Tyra reaches out to take it, eyes widening some more. "…Creme brulee? Oh you didn't…" She unwraps it to see that it is in fact her favorite. "Aah, you did!"
*Xiri holds out her hand and says, "Don't." She actually gets out a portable blowtorch and pops the top, and torches it on the spot just like how she does at the Lente.
*Tyra giggles in delight, watching Xiri. "You've thought of everything, haven't you?"
*Xiri nods slowly as she smiles, saying, "Well, I wouldn't be host of the Lente without going the extra mile."
*Tyra tilts her head. "And you still think you don't spoil me, mm?"
*Xiri pouts a little and says, "Everyone has to eat. No reason to not make it a delicious eat if you have to."
*Tyra chuckles. "Of course, of course." She waits for the flame to be done before starting to eat, closing her eyes and almost shivering in delight.
*Xiri almost bites her lip a little at watching Tyra shiver, but giggles in return as she leans in against her and puts an arm around her, pulling her a bit closer in.
*Tyra doesn't hesitate to lean in, nestling some as she takes another spoonful of the dish before offering Xiri some with a grin. "You should have some as well, you've outdone yourself this time I think."
*Xiri mmms slowly as she takes the spoon and nips a bit of it, but returns it to Tyri after. "I didn't want to hear that! I'll have to try harder next time," she teases.
*Tyra giggles, shifting to give Xiri a quick kiss on the cheek before continuing with her dessert. "Mmm, if I get to try it I can't complain all that much… how should I compliment your work then though, hmmm?"
*Xiri reddens slightly at the kiss, then pecks her back as she says, "Being here with me is enough of a reward, Tyri."
*Tyra nods, finishing and setting the dish aside as she wraps an arm around Xiri to cuddle a bit. "Well then, I better make sure you get what you deserve."
*Xiri mmms as she leans in and lies down to face the sky, tightening a little around her. "Excellent~"
*Tyra lies down with Xiri, resting her head on her shoulder. "Isn't it? Just us and the skies above, hmm?"
*Xiri nods in return as she thinks for a moment, and then says, "I'm gonna find a new place to stay, I think."
<Tyra> You are?
*Xiri nods again, saying, "So you can come visit."
*Tyra blinks at that, then nods excitedly. "That'd be wonderful! What areas are you looking at?"
*Xiri shakes her head for a moment and says, "I haven't quite decided yet, but I've got a nice offer from Mrs. Jones at the Lente."
*Tyra nods, nestling in a bit more. "She's a nice lady, you'll do right by her."
*Xiri nods in response, and mmms as she says, "You're warm, Tyri…" A pause. "Well, maybe it's the sun, but… still."
*Tyra raises an eyebrow slightly at that, then giggles as she shifts to give Xiri another kiss on the cheek. "Mm, am I now? You're rather comfortable, too…"
*Xiri grins in response as she says, "Well… I hope so. I mean, I'm not a bed of rocks or anything." An 'mm' at the kiss.
*Tyra chuckles. "Far from it."
*Xiri mmms again. And then kisses her. "I could lounge here all day long…"
*Tyra returns the kiss, shifting to wrap both her arms around Xiri. "I wouldn't mind that one bit, myself."
*Xiri has a cozy little smile as Tyra moves to hug her more fully, and then says, "… can't, though."
*Tyra pouts. "Such is life."
*Xiri hugs her tighter. And then spends the next hour and a half or so lounging about, talking about the sweet little things in life, and where they want to go from here, and things they've got planned and such, and all that other sweet stuff. More food is consumed, too, and at the end of it, Xiri hands Tyra the basket to give to the boys.
*Tyra takes the basket, still beaming as she gives Xiri another hug. "Thank you, Xi. I had a wonderful time."
*Xiri cups her hands behind her back and puckers her lips forward. "Me too, Tyri."
*Tyra doesn't need any further encouragement, leaning in to give Xiri a nice long kiss.
*Xiri enjoys it! And at the end of it, she pulls away, and says, "Have a good day, Tyri."
*Tyra giggles. "You too, Xiri. See you tonight."
*Xiri waves, and pulls away. "I think I'm going to take another walk around the park. I'll see you around tonight, yes."
*Tyra nods, waving as well before spinning about to make her own way back home.
*Xiri watches Tyra walk away, but her smile melts inch by inch the further away she gets… before she turns to walk towards the trees, and then she's suddenly a burst of rose petals that fragment into nothingness as duty awaits her.
