Sept's Investigations

[22:18] * Sept carefully peeked around the corner into the Evangelion Cages.-
[22:18] <Sept> Good. 01 was still there, unharmed. Right. Time for investigations.
[22:21] <Dorian> [The cages weren't empty, though. Alexandre was in there, as well- as was Jeanne Simon, who stared up at 01 with a keen eye.-
[22:21] <Dorian> [The Cages -were- devoid of something, though. Their bakelite levels were very low…]
[22:27] <Sept> "Hello, Alexandre. Jeanne. How are we?"
[22:29] <Dorian> ["Investigating." Said Jeanne Simon, shooting Sept an annoyed look. She did not appreciate this first-name nonsense.-
[22:29] <Dorian> ["Indeed, indeed, just having a look around." Said Alexandre. "Asuka's off to science, and Tsubaki's off to the Command Centre…"]
[22:36] <Sept> "Don't worry, we'll find the truth about what happened to Gine— -the Commander-. We're on the same side."
[22:37] <Dorian> ["Mmf. Just some stupid game."-
[22:38] <Dorian> [Sept's wily eyes take in the claws of 01 and 04. They… Don't seem to be particularly suspicious. Moreover, he sees a noteworthy notice on one of the walls: EVANGELION REMOTE TESTING SCHEDULED FOR 11:00 AM.]
[22:44] <Sept> "Yeah, just take it easy." ("Is this what Asuka meant..?")-
[22:46] * Sept wandered around for a while, more in the name of relaxation and possibly as a courtesy toward Alexandre before carrying on with making his team win..
[22:49] * Sept heads out -and up- toward the Command Centre wordlessly, and discreetly.
[22:54] <Dorian> [Sept headed towards the command centre…-
[22:54] <Dorian> [… As he walked through the doors, however, the first thing he'd hear was… Tears. Someone- a girl?- was crying noisily.]
[22:57] * Sept hesitates, but continues with his investigation.
[23:01] <Dorian> [Unfortunately, the crying was off in one of the alternative doorways- whereas Sept had come in from the direction of the cages, this person seemed to have come directly from the cafeteria. And- with the inexorable pull of neurotic OCD, he turned, and discovered…-
[23:02] <Dorian> [Akagi Tsubaki, her hands covering her eyes, rather obviously sobbing her heart out.]
[23:09] * Sept approached to a safe distance, as to be heard even with a lower voice. "Hey… hey, w-what's wrong?"
[23:16] <Dorian> [Tsubaki looked up at Sept, thick streams of tears pouring down her cheeks. "T-t-there was a man, he- he said I-i was a murderer… I-I didn't k-ill a-anyone…" She said, her sniffling quickly turning into wails of tears.]
[23:24] * Sept hadn't had a day full of sunshine either, but she had clearly had it worse, and Sera at least though he could see why.-
[23:33] <Sept> Now, he had half a mind to join Tsubaki, but resolved to make something of an attempt to make things better. For the family. "It's… L-look. To start with, I believe you. But it's, it's complicated and I don't really understand it myself. And it has to be hard when you're dragged out here with all these people for no reason and no one wants to explain anything or leave you alone just
[23:33] <Sept> because you're a pilot and there's nothing I can do to make it better I'm so sorry." Now, he was on the verge of tears himself, and the entire NERV Games were all but forgotten.
[23:35] <Dorian> [Tsubaki sniffled. "P-People at home leave me alone, but here everyone speaks to me and I don't know French!" She peered at Sept with honest, blue, and utterly heartbroken eyes. "I-I want to go home. I want my mum."]
[23:51] <Sept> "I-I know, and… and I'm s-so sorry." *sniff* "It's not fair you shouldn't have to be alone all by yourself and -I'm sorryyy-" Sera practically -fell- on Tsubaki with a hug, sniffling profusely.
[23:56] <Dorian> ["Waa-waah-?!" Tsubaki wasn't expecting a hug, and for a single moment she just sort of stared at him with a wide-eyed sort of shock. This was quickly followed up with desperate clinging, letting a flood of tears soak his shirt.]
[00:08] <Sept> "It's alright, i-it's alright…" Pulling himself together after a while, Sera managed to be (just barely) more the shoulder than the crier in the situation. Still, he probably needed it almost as much as she did. He let the time flow with the tears.
[00:13] <Dorian> [Time passes. In fact, at this point, Sept is missing his colleagues' rendezvous.-
[00:14] <Dorian> [Tsubaki's sobs slowly turn into quiet sniffles, then stop. "Your shirt's wet." She said, her voice muffled because she yet refused to move. "But you're snuggly. You are not as cold as I expect wet things to be."]
[00:20] <Sept> "A-ah." Sera blushed. He was pretty sure no one had described him as 'snuggly' before, and this likely wasn't due to a lack of words in French. Freya's vocabulary was pretty extensive. "…Thank you? It's alright, really… and, hey. We're all here for you. Whether or not everyone admits it, we're all in this together, us pilots. Like… like family. Alright?"
[00:23] <Dorian> ["F-F-Family?" Sniffled Tsubaki. "A-are you my brother?"]
[00:29] <Sept> "Y-yeah. That's right. It's okay now." Reality started to return to Sera, slowly. He was vaguely aware of the time now, but comforting Tsubaki still took priority.
[00:31] <Dorian> ["D-Do you wish you would be with mum too?"]
[00:34] <Sept> "I— I never—" A pause, and then a resigned voice. "Yeah. I do."
[00:36] <Dorian> [Tsubaki stares up at Sept with those big eyes of hers. "You can meet her at home! She will want to see you."]
[00:43] <Sept> "…at home? I don't know if, if they'd let me… They seem to want to keep us here most of the time…"
[00:45] <Dorian> ["One day." Said Tsubaki simply.]
[00:48] <Sept> "…Yeah. Definitely."
[00:52] <Dorian> [Tsubaki continued to cling to Sept. At this point, she wasn't seeking comfort because she was a sobbing wreck. She was just sort of clinging because it felt nice.]
[00:58] <Sept> "…Hey. I've got something I have to take care of, but if you wait here for a bit, we could go back to the cafeteria together, if you want to?"
[00:59] <Dorian> ["Alright." She blinked. "I like milkshakes. Can I get a milkshake?"]
[01:03] <Sept> "Yeah. Yeah, you can. Alright, I'll be right back!" With that, Sept sprinted off to where he came from, half-trying to ignore anything his ears might've told him as to avoid further distractions.
[01:05] <Dorian> [The actual command centre, now that Sept has -finally- reached it… Is normal, except of course for a chalk outline on the floor, where 'blood' has been spilt. Freya is in the room, speaking with some of the replacement Bunnies, hereby referred to as the 'Hares'.-
[01:05] <Dorian> ["Ah. Look who it is!" Said Freya cheerfully. "I was wondering if you'd swing by~"]
[01:07] * Sept stood there, slightly out of breath, looking around the room. "Hurry. Short version. What can you tell me about the remote testing?"
[01:09] <Dorian> ["Oh, right. It went for only five minutes, from 11:00 to 11:05. The three Evangelions were activated, and given experimental signals sent from the MAGI. 04 became a little frisky but nothing serious happened."]
[01:13] * Sept nodded, satisfied. "Right." He took a quick walk-around of the room, checking for any other discrepancies in the room.
[01:15] <Dorian> [Sept doesn't really see anything outside of the usual, except of course for that chalk mark. One of the Hares is staring at him expectantly.]
[01:18] <Sept> While hurrying through the room, inspecting various surfaces cursively, turning over stacks of papers in case a smoking gun would fall out, Sera kept up the conversation. "Don't suppose you saw anything suspicious before or after the crime?"
[01:21] <Dorian> ["Nooooo." said the Hare. "But I did hear yelling. That would've been around, ooh, 10:57? 10:58?" She said, fiddling idly with a ponytail. "'You betrayed us, and you betrayed what we built this place on, and you betrayed this and that and you're just making us sacrificial lambs for your warped ideas'. Stuff like that. Then, bam bam."]
[01:26] <Sept> "Oh? And gunfire?" The pilot stopped his search short, convinced he wouldn't be finding anything else of value here without turning the entire centre upside down. "I think that's good enough thank you see you Freya!" There was no time to be waiting for polite replies. Sera made his way back to pick up Tsubaki, before heading together to the cafeteria for the parlor scene.
[01:27] <Dorian> [Tsubaki is picked up!]

[02:56] <Sept> Medical Ward. Round Two. Sera wasted no time starting his preliminary investigation - that is, finding Clement's office and/or nearby receptionists.
[02:56] <Dorian> [There were, of course, receptionists on duty in the Medical Ward! One of them at the very front.-
[02:58] <Dorian> [Tsubaki followed on after Sept. This happy communion couldn't continue, however- Asuka had been at the medical centre, having just spoken with Reception. She turned to look around at Sept and Tsubaki. "Fifth Chi- Tsubaki!" Asuka glowered. "There you are. I've been looking everywhere. What've you found out?" "Found out?" "About the murder case?" "… Oh… … I didn't do it…" "…"-
[02:58] <Dorian> [Asuka quickly brushes past Sept. She takes Tsubaki along for the ride.]
[03:04] <Sept> "Wai—" But they were gone. Hmmh. Well, getting all depressed about Tsubaki's fate wouldn't help Sera now. "Hello? Is there any chance you might have records of, uh. Dr. Clement's movements this morning?"
[03:05] <Dorian> ["Does this look like Section 2?" Asked the Receptionist irritably. "Timeframe?"]
[03:08] <Sept> "No, probably not. Around 9-11 AM, though."
[03:09] <Dorian> [The receptionist sighed a little, looking down at his records. "The Doctor signed in at 10:20 AM. He remained in his office until around a quarter past 11."]
[03:14] <Sept> "Thank you, Sergei. That will do."-
[03:15] * Sept headed off. The trip had been surprisingly straightforward, with that timeframe taking care of the Doctor's alibi quite thoroughly. He made sure to keep a lookout for Team International's pilots. He was worried about them. Pilots shouldn't end up arguing with each other over such things.
