Session 4 Scrying Shame

<Mina‘Haplo> [ Shortly after the raid on Sophie Garland’s house and the permanent destruction of the Top Hat Strigoi, ala Joshua Olon… Maia, Diana, Tyra and Lucius had bundled back into an Autocar, well on their way back to the Scrying centre in central Paxia… A long drive of about three hours. ]
*Xiri , or rather the Slayer, if this were a comedy, would be secretly and stealthily riding ontop of that Autocar. Unfortunately, this isn't, so instead she's deployed some other means. Another teleportation circle, perhaps?
*Tyra …actually seemed to be sleeping for this trip.
*Diana was just lounging where she sat, for the time being.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ She would probably also stealthily take a nap on top of the car, since three hours is a long time. Tyra isn’t alone in her slumber, since Lucius passed out about 15 minutes in, leaving what must be an awkward trip for Diana and Maia. Eventually, however, they return to the Scrying centre, a large, unadorned and intimidating building on the outside…]
<Mina‘Haplo> [ There seems to be a fellow awaiting them on the inside. Tall, with brown hair and a far gentler, warmer expression than their cold, distant guide they had the first time around. He seems to be looking around expectantly…]
*Tyra starts awake, grumbling.
*Maia nods to the rest of the group, then proceeds inside! Where she takes note of the individual.
<Mina`Haplo> [ Lucius follows Maia in, rubbing his eyes a little. ]
*Diana looked at the man oddly, tilting her head at him.
<Mina`Haplo> [ The man looked over at the group, and nodded firmly. "You’re the group inquiring about the location of Sophie Garland, right?" ]
*Maia nodded slowly to the man!
*Tyra seemed content to let Maia handle this, fidgeting a bit in the back.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "I thought you might be. I’ve been expecting you." He said. "We noticed something a little odd after we did the divination, and we believe that Ms. Garland somehow detected our scrying. In most cases, this usually leads to the quarry escaping…" He tapped his nose. "So I'm going to assume you want another run at it?" ]
*Diana nodded. "…More to the point, a coherent plan for sending her running would be good… If you are familiar with such"
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Hm." He tilts his head as he looks at Diana. "A coherent plan… Well, I was thinking of trying again, but with a bit more, you know, pizazz." He said, snapping his fingers. "Some more advanced scrying patterns can provide a continual lock on a person… It’s chancy, though." A shrug.]
*Maia raises an eyebrow inquisitively at this.
<Tyra> How chancy?
<Mina‘Haplo> ["Depends on the strength of the material given." Said the scryer. "A really good strong material with a bond to its owner can give a 95% success rate. Yours… … I’d say about a 70% or so." ]
*Maia ponders this. Didn't she pick up some more things back at the previous location which might be usable for scrying? I seem to vaguely remember such.l..
*Diana thought. "Originally, I had thought of just scrying her every now and then, responding sometimes but not always… Until she runs out of places to hide due to paranoia… or stops fleeing due to complacency."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "That would work. It would certainly be more reliable than the lock method." ]
*Tyra scratches the back of her head, mulling.
<Mina`Haplo> [ "It should be noted that the lock method tends to wear out a material somewhat faster than the usual method as well." ]
*Diana nodded. "And! Wouldn’t constantly sensing being scried prompt her to locate scry resistance faster? And since you're not the operatives looking for her, nor is the machinery portable… There are even greater flaws created by communications lag… Hmmm."
<Mina‘Haplo> ["This system honestly worked better a hundred years ago, yes." ]
<Tyra> Funny how the decline of magic does that, I suppose.
*Tyra glances at Maia. "Your call."
*Maia slowly writes something on her ever-present slate, looking over toward Diana. ’A little more detail on your plan?'
<Diana> "Ah. Basically, fear tactics. Schedules a few scrying sessions spread out over about a month tops, and we respond haphazardly. Sometimes coming to the scene, sometimes waiting a day first. After enough scans, she'll either head to increasingly poor hiding places, run out of them altogether, sit still thinking she should just confront us…" A grim pause, with a frown. "…Or do something stupid."
*Tyra frowns. "How much time do we have, though?"
<Diana> "No idea whatsoever."
*Tyra lets out a long suffering sigh, then looks at Maia.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius "hmm’d" a little at that. "I would like to think she'd be on the backfoot after the Strigoi's defeat, but…" ]
*Maia folds her arms, considering the options it would seem…
*Diana shrugged. "She seemed to have an escape planned. It should only take around 2-3 more tries before the plan works, based on my guess of how she's thinking right now… I think. You can just ask Xiri or Tyra, I probably don't have all the cards for knowing how people act."
*Xiri is now known as The_Slayer
*Tyra rubs her chin for a moment, frowning. "We don't have that long though if you want to take her alive, however. We need to move /fast/."
*Diana slumped, robo-buddy there to catch her fall. "Ugh. No wonder I don't do detective work."
*Maia … nods slowly at Tyra.
*Tyra smiles, reaching over to pat Diana's shoulder. "Don't worry about it. I think we should just go with the lock." She glances at the person. "Can you provide a way to keep us updated?"
*Maia nods in agreemenet with this suggestion.
*Diana nods. "Good enough. It'll probably send her into a panic."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Yes, actually." He said. "I mean, well." He coughed, and quietly nodded his head over to the elevator. "I’ll talk more about it in there. ]
*Tyra shrugs, gesturing. "Let's go, then."
*Diana followed, thus!
*Maia headed there posthaste!
<Mina‘Haplo> [ The chap leads them into the elevator, and gives them a nod. "Percy Farragut." He said with a bright grin. "Basically, my idea is a little, y’know, restricted…" he cleared his throat. "But I'm guessing you want to find this girl. So basically, I'll scry one of you and send a message that way. Rare, old magic, probably outlawed, but who cares." He holds out his hand. "I'll need some material, too." ]
*Tyra cocks an eyebrow. "To be destoryed afterwards, of course?"
*Diana nodded. "And only one of us, for that matter?"
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "I’ll destroy it, yes." He said. "And… Unless you want to give me more. I don't see why it'd be necessary though unless you were all very spread out." ]
*Tyra nods, reaching up to wind a bit of hair around a finger. The other flicks out a knife from somewhere, quickly lopping off the strands to hold out. "Will that do?"
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Organic material is amongst the best for scrying." Said Percy cheerfully. "That will do perfectly."]
*Maia raised an eyebrow, but it seemed to be more out of interest than concern!
*Diana pondered. "…For organics, anyway."
<Mina`Haplo> [ "Well, yes." ]
*Diana just grinned in response.
*Tyra chuckles. "Then let’s get this show on the road. Clock's ticking."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Indeed!" Percy takes the hair, pockets it, and leads them out into a familiar corridor. He walks over to a, yes, a familiar looking door, gives them a nod, and slips inside to scry on their Garland friend. ]
*Maia lets out a sigh. ’I hope we get her this time', is what she wrote on the slate, evidently.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Time passes. 10 minutes… 20 minutes… Eventually, half an hour passes before Percy returns, a frown on his face… And soot, for sme reason. "Well. Shit." ]
*Maia frowns. It was not a happy frown.
<Tyra> I take it there is bad news. And more bad news.
<Mina`Haplo> [ "There’s good news." He mutters. "Good news is, we remain a continually professional, well-trained and top-notch group of scryers that puts even the Magic Emperors' secret police to shame. Bad news is…" He holds up a scratchy bit of cloth. "… I don't know how to tell you this, but she's somehow blocking scrying. Completely. I mean, we scry her and our machines start to malfunction." ]
*Diana stared. "…She's blocking it, or she's somewhere ba-"
<Tyra> Ah. Wonderful.
*Tyra holds out a hand. "My own item, then, if you please."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Percy hands back her hair. "Here you go. I was going to try to keep scrying her if it didn’t work, but…" He shrugged. "Can't do much now." ]
*Tyra does actually check to make sure all the strands are there before snapping her fingers. And then there is nothing but the ashes of the hair.
*Tyra turns back towards the group. "So. The easy tracking is out."
*Diana pondered this. "…Yes, so it is. What do you propose instead?"
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "I don’t propose anything." Said Percy, and he offered Tyra his hand. "I'm a scryer and nothing more." ]
*Diana shook her head. "I was talking to her." A point at Tyra.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Oh." ]
*Tyra shrugs. "Good old investigative work? We need to dig up all the possible bolt holes now. Places linked to her. Linked to her friends. Any family, acquaintances, so on and so forth. Shake down every thread."
*Diana put her fingers on her lips. "Mm."
<Mina`Haplo> [ Percy frowns a little at, y’know, being left hangin'. He withdraws his hand. "Maybe there are others who can help you." ]
*Tyra gives Percy a reassuring smile, wagging her finger for a moment. "Others?"
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Others." He said. "I wouldn’t know, of course. I'm a straight-laced scryer with no interest in extracurricular matters." ]
*Tyra gives Percy a flat look. "Of course."
*Diana tilted her head. "…No, I won't say anything."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Indeed." He offers her his hand again with a quirked eyebrow. "Pleasure working with you." ]
*Tyra rolls her eyes, reaching out to shake it. "As short as it was, anyways."
<Mina`Haplo> [ "I’m sure we'll never meet again." He says with a frown. He withdraws his hand. "I do hope you find her. We can't have people like that on our streets, can we? Ta." He clears his throat, and walks off. ]
*Tyra sighs, turning to make her own exit from the building. She gestures for the group to follow, heels clicking as she strides out.
*Diana followed, of course, metal clanks trailing her.
*Maia follows, writing on her slate as she walks along with a frown.
*Tyra waits until out of the building, then flicks the card out from where she had slipped it in her sleeve to examine.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius follows after Maia. "Bit of an odd chap, wasn’t he?" ]
<Diana> "Exceedingly."
*Maia nods slowly as she continues her writing.
*Tyra flips the card over her shoulder towards Diana, heading for the car. "New destination."
*Maia eventually shows the slate. 'She has no known family to us. Orphan, single, never married.'
*Diana looked at the card. What's on the card, Diana?
<Tyra> Mm. Hopefully this will pan out, then.
*Maia takes a look at the card too, if Diana will allow her too, before settling into the autocar!
*Diana does allow it!
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius looks too because he doesn’t want to be left out. ]
*Tyra hops into the car with a nod. Time to hit the next lead!
*Diana pondered the card for a little while, wondering what the hell it was talking about. Ah well.
*Maia raises an eyebrow to Tyra idly, but either way, she starts driving once everyone else is in, with a shrug.
*Maia starts the car, rather! But doesn't go anywhere yet, as a thought hits her, and she signs to Lucius. <… The Slayer said she was going to follow her, didn't she?>
<Mina‘Haplo> ["She said she was going to pursue her, yeah…" Said Lucius slowly. "I think she did anyway." ]
*Tyra glances back at Lucius. "Hm?"
*Diana raised a brow, but for now was more interested in coddling her little mechanical passenger.
*Maia smiles a bit, and turns the autocar back off, then writes upon the slate and shows everyone a message. ’Slayer also searching for Sophie. Why not scry her?'
*Tyra shakes her head. "She'll get to her first if we follow her for sure."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius gestures to Maia when Tyra glances at him… "… Hrm." ]
*Diana …paused. "We just left. It’ll take a lot of time to go bother them again."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "The Slayer can’t possibly have methods of finding her that we lack… Could she?" ]
*Maia could only shrug helplessly at that, signing back to Lucius. <We don't really have any leads.>
<Diana> "…Connections? A keen animalistic sense of smell? Precognition?!" …her tone was getting more mock-ludicrous.
<Tyra> The card may lead somewhere, considering how much the scryer was leaning on it.
*Tyra gives Diana a look. "Be nice."
<Diana> "Aww…"
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Look." Said Lucius. "Why don’t I scry the Slayer, and you lot go ahead?" ]
*Maia nods to Lucius.
*Tyra sighs. "And when they realize who you've found and send every cop and soldier in the city after the Slayer it's going to be a mess."
*Diana stood still… while AU-X looked at Tyra, its eyelights blinking once.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Hm." Lucius’s eyes flick back to Maia. ]
*Maia raises an eyebrow curiously. Signsignsign! <Maybe we should hold off for now.>
<Mina‘Haplo> ["Yeah." He turns back to the others. "Okay. Maia thinks we should hold off for a bit then." He turns to Tyra. "What were you gonna use, anyway?" ]
*Maia produces the dropped feather that she yoinked off of Olon’s remains, showing it to Lucius but keeping a tight hold on it!
*Tyra quirks a brow. "Me? I've got nothing. You're the ones who suggested it." She glances at the feather, nodding. "Ah."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Wait, did you steal a feather from her? Sneaky!" Said Lucius with a grin. ]
*Maia shook her head at Lucius, stashing it back away safely before signing to him. <No. It was the personal effect used to create Olon’s Strigoi.>
<Mina‘Haplo> ["Oh. … Huh." Lucius frowned. "I wonder how she got it." ]
*Maia let out a sigh, and started the autocar back up. Guess we’re off to the Angels en Garde.
*Diana sighed in unison. For why, it wasn't clear…
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Maia drives the car off, away from the Scrying centre! It’s a far shorter drive this time- about 40 minutes, although Lucius falls asleep again- before arriving at a rather well-kept, moderately-sized house. It must've cost an awful lot, having its own yard so close to the city centre… ]
*Tyra raises an eyebrow slightly at this, stepping out of the car and heading for the front door.
*Diana set AU-X to orbital mode, and walked over, gingerly, staying to the side…
*Maia hops out of the car, following right alongside Tyra. It was her card, so she lets Tyra take the lead.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ The front door is solid, nice and attractive, with a rich, deep brown colour. There’re four windows on the front of the house; the house itself seems to be made from brick, painted white. As they approach and knock on the door, a voice shouts "Cooooming!"… A few moments later, it opens up to reveal a young, brown-haired woman with brown eyes. She seems… Fairly cheerful. "Hiya! What is it?"]
*Tyra can't help but raise an eyebrow at this, glancing at the card for a moment and then back at the woman. "Afternoon. Ah, we were directed here by an acquaintance. The Angels en Garde?"
*Diana loomed at the margins, inherently uncomfortable with these shenanigans
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Her cheerful expression fades with record speed, and she suddenly becomes far more businesslike. "Who sent you?" ]
*Tyra cants her head, a bit impressed with the sudden gear shift. "Farragut."
*Diana slooowly curled one of her hands, as AU-X perched on her head, like an oversized helmet.
<Mina`Haplo> [ "Ah. Of course." She steps to the side. "Please, come in." ]
*Tyra nods, doing so!
*Diana slunk in as well, making it a point to do so before Maia or Lucius could either. Never walk point, never walk rearguard.
<Mina`Haplo> [ The house inside is rather decorated. The walls inside have a lovely sort of light blue paint on the top half, with a creamy finish on the bottom. There are a fair few side doors, and a lot of pictures of people, a lot of them smiling and the like. The host leads the group deeper into the house, into what is a hybrid kitchen and dining room. ]
<Tyra> Very nice place.
*Maia follows inside well enough, peering around curiously as she does.
<Mina`Haplo> [ Lucius follows in. The woman nods to Tyra with a small smile. "Thank you. The pictures are of our members." She said. "I’ll put the kettle on." After a few minutes of fussing about, she returns to the group, and nods. "I'm Sarah Farragut. I'm an Angel en Garde- a vigilante group. Why'd Percy send you here?" ]
*Tyra raises an eyebrow. "A vigilante group. Very interesting." She finds a spot of wall to lean again, crossing her arms under her chest. "We're trying to find a girl. Oblationist, gone rogue, need to secure her before the resident Slayer she's targetting puts her down first."
*Diana nodded, suddenly fading out of Super Defense Mode. "Also, random undead horrors are not a very good thing."
<Tyra> They ruin parties, it's true.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ If this news fazes Sarah in any way, she isn’t showing it. "Are these Oblationists?" She nods to Maia and Lucius. ]
<Tyra> Mmhmm.
*Maia nods to her.
<Mina‘Haplo> ["The rogue you’re hunting… Is it the Garland girl?" She asked, sitting down in the chair… Very straight backed. "Please, sit." ]
*Tyra takes a seat, managing a faint smile. "Good ear. Yes."
*Maia nods to her again, holding up the slate which she has just hastily written something on. 'How'd you know?'
*Diana used Chair Mode again, rather than use Ms. Farragut's own chairs.
*Maia certainly settled into one of the chairs.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "We’ve had our eye on Sophie Garland for a while now." Said Sarah. "She's caused problems for us. Us, specifically. Which doesn't sit well with us." She also held up a lock of hair… It looked recently cut. "Percy called ahead." ]
*Tyra nods. "Then you know we've been, ah, shut down on the scrying front."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Yes." Said Sarah. "He sent you here because, quite simply, our goals are aligned, and we might be able to help each other." ]
*Tyra interlaces her fingers together. "Excellent."
*Diana nodded. "It’s almost a pity that our best known technology for portable long-range communications is allegedly illegal scrying variants… But oh, I have too much to work on already."
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Telepathy phones are too expensive for ubiquitous use, yes. And paranoia keeps scrying… Clipped. However." She leaned forward, mirroring Tyra’s interlacing. "I've been working on something. Basically… A sort of 'magic trace' that would be able to sense her magic when it's used. It can't sense her, but if she uses her powers at all…"]
*Diana raised a finger! "What about things she's animated? Does it sense them too?"
*Maia blinks.
<Tyra> Hmm. A trail, then.
<Mina‘Haplo> ["It should. I’m not sure, admittedly- it's mostly theoretical. But…" Shrug! "If we could do it, I could create a magitech device for you that would show her location, but it…. There are problems."]
<Diana> "Hmm?~"
*Maia raises an eyebrow.
<Mina‘Haplo> ["There are books. Old, restricted, magical texts in the biggest library in Paxia. If I could read those books, I’d be able to work it out. Unfortunately, it's forbidden. As in, I can't access them. They count as very powerful scrying magic, so… Do you see where I'm going with this?"]
*Tyra buries her face in her hands. "Oi."
*Diana almost started to say something that started with the letter f, but bit her tongue lightly to stop it. "…I am half-tempted to just consider a different plan. It's a pity this is an inhabited area …"
*Maia frowned. She had a feeling she did in fact see where Sarah was going, and she liked it very little.
*Maia did not, however, spare Diana a bit of a glare.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "… Wait, what?" Sarah seems a bit disconcerted at what Diana said. ]
*Diana shrugged. "Sophie’s being a ridiculous pain to locate. But in a crowded city it's very hard to use fear tactics effectively, and I figure those kinds of emotions are a weakness to prey on."
*Maia writes on her slate pointedly. 'More details about this book, if you would?'
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Sarah blinks pointedly at Diana, then turns back to Maia. "They’re a series of books, written in Clencerian. They're about 700 years old… 'The Divine Shadowing' they're called. They detail scrying magic, tracing magic, anti-scrying magic, anti-tracing magic…" ]
*Maia frowns.
<Tyra> Mm. And you want access.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Sarah nodded. "I hate the fact that I have to ask, but yes." ]
*Maia looked at Lucius uneasily, making a few signs. <I don’t like this.>
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius nodded, signing back. <This could go very badly.> ]
*Diana looked at Maia and Lucius oddly, musing that she’d need to learn Paxian Sign Language.
*Maia signs back, <It's an unacceptable risk if you ask me.>
*Tyra gives Maia and Lucius a bit of a look, clearing her throat.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ <But what else can we do?> He turns to Tyra and smiles sheepishly. "Heh. Sorry." ]
*Maia just shrugs helplessly at Tyra, a well-what-else-am-I-supposed-to-do expression on her face.
*Tyra mimes writing for a moment, then shakes her head.
*Maia grumbles.
<Tyra> Anyways.
<Mina`Haplo> [ Sarah sighed. "Damn it. Yes, this is illegal. But we have no choice. We used to know this sort of thing…" ]
*Tyra leans back in her seat, frowning. "This is the only way, I take it."
<Mina`Haplo> [ "The only *good*way." ]
*Diana pondered. "…Or is it? How much do you already have working?"
<Mina`Haplo> [ "Just the rudimentary stuff. The sort of thing we managed to gather from Percy working with scrying magic and technology. They share a sort of ’base', you see, but branch off into two different paths."]
*Diana nodded. "And what, in a vague sense, is missing?"
<Mina‘Haplo> ["The deep part. The arcane words, the directions, the hows and whys. We don’t even know what materials to use or even if it requires them. I mean, beyond the trace material."]
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius gives Diana and Tyra a sidelong glance… "Group huddle?" ]
<Diana> "…Oh. I was just thinking that, since I -am- an automaton expert, and I know a lot about obscure psykanium circuitry… I might be able to create a rudimentary solu- Oh, alright then." Huddle!
*Tyra sighs. "Yes. A moment, please."
*Maia huddles!
<Mina`Haplo> ["Diana, do you think you *could*create a workable version?"]
*Diana thought. "I’d need to fully analyze the scrying component to figure out how it traces them in the first place! Then I'd probably integrate an automaton mind to perform the actual scry ritual. Retuning it to track the magic energy… I'm not so sure about."
*Tyra blinks for a moment. "Any idea time wise?"
<Diana> "I could probably repurpose existing psykanium equipment overnight if I… If I'm willing to have some really damn strong coffee. For the mind, anyway. The scrying stuff is gonna depend on how complex it is, though I -do- have a twinge of familiarity since it's government-approved for us tracking sensitive projects, as you know."
<Tyra> Mmmm.
*Maia writes on her slate, although she does pause briefly and raise an eyebrow when Diana says what is likely too much. 'Can I consider your request and get back to you?' is written when she shows it to Sarah.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "I have no problem with that." Said Sarah with a shrug. "It’s a lot to consider. I know what's at stake." ]
*Maia nods, and looks to Lucius, giving a quick sign. <We really should go.>
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius nodded. "We should. Miss Diana, it might be worth having a look at your solution anyway, since…" He shrugged. "But we should really be going. I feel rather tired." ]
*Tyra nods. "We’ll be in touch."
*Maia nods, and then actually goes so far as to grab Lucius by the wrist and pull him towards the door. Very strange for her.
*Diana nodded. "A good idea. If we can avoid doing illegal things… yes." …And she began wandering off! The politics bit was not her department.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ "Goodb-Whoa!" Lucius is dragged along, somewhat surprised at the action, although it’s not like he can resist. Sarah… Quirks an eyebrow at that. "Good evening, then. Don't be a stranger!" She slips back into her cheerful side. "My flowers smell lovely and I do love the company!"]
*Maia smiles back to her and nods cheerfully, scribbling on the slate and showing it. 'Thanks for your help'
*Tyra follows after, raising an eyebrow at the dragging.
*Maia then heads back to the autocar posthaste, with Lucius in tow!
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Sarah waves energetically… Outside! Lucius is dragged along. "M-Maia…" ]
*Maia raises an eyebrow at Lucius as she opens the passenger seat for him, then slides into the driver’s seat on the other side.
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius enters, not going to argue. ]
*Maia signs to him. <Sorry about that, but I imagine you know why I did that.> Then she lets out a long tired sigh, and writes upon her slate to show the group at large. ’I'll be heading back to the temple immediately to make some arrangements'
<Maia> Following that, she signs to Lucius again. <You stay in town. Maybe teach them a little sign language while I'm gone.>
<Mina‘Haplo> [ Lucius nods slowly, and sort o- he stops. "W-wait, stay here?" ]
*Diana blinked. "Hm…?"
*Maia smiles, and signs. <Explain to them?>
<Mina`Haplo> [ Lucius pauses, then… "… Maia’s going to go back to the Temple to discuss the issue with our higher-ups. She wants me to stay in town… And possibly teach you some sign language." ]
*Maia nods, and gently pats Lucius on the shoulder. With that, her role in the conversation is done, so she starts up the autocar and starts driving. Destination: train station! Lucius or Tyra can do the rest of the driving after she drops herself off~
<Mina‘Haplo> [ It’s a quick drive to the central station, from which Maia'll take a train to Redspring, home of the Order…]
