The All Master Plots

[09:27] <Minaplo> [Voriel stood on the icy precipice, gazing down into the cleft below. The chilly mountain breeze blew across his body, catching the hanging folds of his robe-like body. He did not feel the cold, only the press of the force- in any case, it didn't bother him.-
[09:28] <Minaplo> [(They are all dead, or dying.) Said Voriel. (Their lilim bodies cannot be exposed to these elements for very long without expiring.)-
[09:29] <Minaplo> [Gabriel made no reply. Voriel turned.-
[09:31] <Minaplo> [They had hidden themselves well. Their powers had been able to slowly, carefully carve out a crevice large enough to allow Gabriel to rest, safe from Lilim eyes. There, she had begun to regenerate.-
[09:33] <Minaplo> [The wounds healed slowly, though. They would for awhile. Nevertheless, it hadn't been all bad- there were lilim in these mountains, wrapped in lilim beast skins and bearing pitiful lilim weapons, and when a band of them had inevitably stumbled across Gabriel's egg, she had been quick to channel Voriel into one of their bodies.-
[09:35] <Minaplo> [The lilim was no Aline; he wasn't even a reincarnated Ancestor at all, and the light of his soul was quicky snuffed out, allowing Voriel to absorb his lilim biomass and forge it into a body of his own. From there, it was short work to dispose of the others.-
[09:46] <Minaplo> [(All-Master, what is our next course of action?) Asked Voriel.-
[09:49] <Minaplo> [A shiver of- irritation? Across their bond, sending Voriel recoiling simply from the weakness of his current form. Voriel knew what was wrong immediately, but he wasn't sure how to correct it. He had spent far too long- years- in the form of a Lilim, surrounded by Lilim minds, marinating in Lilim thoughts and memories and even now he was finding it difficult to shake off all the little ways in which the experience ahd influenced his thoughts and behaviour. Gabriel found it unacceptable.-
[09:51] <Minaplo> [(But you have to admit that some of this knowledge is useful.)-
[09:51] <Minaplo> [Another wave of irritation, stronger than before.-
[09:52] <Minaplo> [(Yes, we tried it your way, remember?) Voriel was growing irritated as well. (That is why you are hiding in a mountain, healing.)-
[09:55] <Minaplo> [Her reaction was predictable, which is why Voriel was a fool for having said it. A massive backlash of fury hurled him onto his back and slid him across the ground, slamming him into a wall. Although the body had been strengthened by Voriel's nature, it was still fragile, and the hated sensation of pain spread through it.-
[09:56] <Minaplo> [A few minutes passed before Voriel felt safe enough to regain his footing. (I did not mean to offend.)-
[09:56] <Minaplo> [A disgruntled- pardon, one might say. He was permitted to approach again, and approach he did.-
[09:57] <Minaplo> [(You wish to see the slave-beast pilots again.) He concentrated, sending the thoughts to her, the faces, their units, and what he knew about them.-
[10:07] <Minaplo> [And as always, Gabriel was occupied with a handful of specific pilots. Sera, Aline- Voriel felt a satisfying wave of hatred at the thought-, Tsubaki, Sophia, and Isaiah… He had never given any of them much importance outside of Aline, but Gabriel was very intrigued.-
[10:09] <Minaplo> [(That Lilim is complicated.) Said Voriel. (It is and yet is not the Solemn Exarch. The slave-beast it occupies is also the Solemn Exarch, as were two of the others there.) He sent her the image- 00, 04…-
[10:10] <Minaplo> [Gabriel was silent, mulling. Then she made another query.-
[10:10] <Minaplo> [(Unknown.) He replied. (An Eve, but unimportant.)-
[10:10] <Minaplo> [Another question this time.-
[10:11] <Minaplo> [(Connected to one of the lilim that we fought. Otherwise unimportant.)-
[10:11] <Minaplo> [A response.-
[10:11] <Minaplo> [(You disagree? Why?)-
[10:11] <Minaplo> [A pause from Voriel. Information was sent, but…-
[10:11] <Minaplo> [(I do not see how this changes anything.)-
[10:12] <Minaplo> [A spark of irritation from Gabriel. New information was sent- this time, from the information that had been gleaned before the Silver-clad Empress had silenced their branch of the Chantry of Light.-
[10:14] <Minaplo> [The information sent Voriel's thoughts into disarray. This was… He did not want to say 'fear'.-
[10:14] <Minaplo> [(The Warmaster?) He asked. (The Warmaster was given to Mother?)-
[10:14] <Minaplo> [A confirmation.-
[10:15] <Minaplo> [(But that is dangerous. Will the Warmaster acknowledge the Silver-clad Empress?)-
[10:15] <Minaplo> [A reply.-
[10:16] <Minaplo> [(I did not think so. The Warmaster has no reason to be subservient.)-
[10:16] <Minaplo> [An impatient acknowledgement.-
[10:17] <Minaplo> [(I understand, now.) Said Voriel, fear and excitement mingling together. (The Warmaster is going to awake soon, then. And you believe she will remember her child.)-
[10:17] <Minaplo> [Assent.-
[10:19] <Minaplo> [(Then our next course of action is obvious.)]
