"By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail."

A Strategic Reserve refers to a large, stored reserve of a supply or item stored by governments to be used in times of emergency. These reserves can be food, fuel, equipment- whatever it is, it is stored in large quantities and acts as insurance against future disasters. The United States, for example, established a strategic reserve of petroleum after the 1973 oil crisis, that would allow the country to bulwark itself against massive destabilisations of the oil market. History's greatest strategic reserve, however, is undoubtedly the Synfront- a reserve designed to restart human civilization itself in the case of disaster.

The Federal Treasury has just finished its investigations into the various member states, and we can now declare the content and volume of the Federation states' reserves. The Chinese and the Americans both possess a large oil reserve as well as 3 divisions' worth of combat vehicles each, the Canadians have been stockpiling their massive harvests for 15 years, and the Soviets possess enough materials to repair or outfit 20% of its manufacturing industry. The French have the greatest strategic reserve, possessing enough positron generators, prefabricated buildings, vehicles and processed materials to rebuild Paris, Lyons, Marseilles, Bordeaux and Strasbourg each three times over. Britain has no strategic reserve.

We have the option to withdraw from some of these reserves now, which will help with our needs. Alternatively, we can leave them for now, or we can pay some money to bolster the reserves.
